Last three experiences here have not been very good. - Edit
Unfortunately, this is the third time in a row I've ordered here for take-out and it's either not been very good in flavor/quality or something was wrong with my order. Last night I ordered the taro bubble tea from their vegan menu and the panang tofu curry (cudos to them for leaving the tofu unfried like I requested), but the main reason I chose to order here is because of the bubble tea - BUT when I started drinking it, I realized there was absolutely NO boba in it, only ice. I called to let them know and the girl who answered was very odd over the phone and said "oh ok, sorry about that" while semi-giggling. After several awkward seconds of this, she wasn't offering a refund or new tea so I asked for a refund and thankfully it was granted. I believe the girl I spoke with on the phone was also behind the counter when I went in to pick up the order, and if I'm correct I know she's not a new employee. The time previous to this, which would have been in April/May of 2020, I ordered fresh vegetable spring rolls and pho and the veggies in the spring rolls were slimy and visibly going bad and should not have been served. The third instance (Nov/Dec 2019) I had ordered the mixed vegetables with tofu soup and a hot and sour soup that they said they could make vegan and both had broth that was watery and not at all flavorful and there were hardly any veggies or tofu in either soup. I ordered here last night because I wanted to give them another chance after the "fresh" veggie roll incident. I know a lot of businesses are overwhelmed and struggling and have been for the last entire year, and I assumed that maybe they truly thought the veggies looked ok while quickly trying to complete take-out orders and/or were trying to avoid waste because this was right when COVID began rising, but unfortunately I have to say that I won't be ordering from here again.

Separate Vegan Menu! - Edit
So nice to have a separate vegan menu. As mentioned in a prior review, they are cool with making items on the "regular" menu vegan as requested.
Read moreWe usually get the fresh avocado spring rolls & the vegetable Pho. The Pho is huge & filling! Have had entrees there a few times & they never tasted like fish sauce, which has happened to us so many times over the years & had us avoiding Asian restaurants all together, until this one!
The staff has only ever been friendly & helpful to us. This is our go-to takeout place.
Pros: Many vegan choices/separate vegan menu, Large portions/good prices, Friendly staff

Full Vegan Menu! - Edit
They have a full vegan menu and were very happy to answer my questions! Very friendly staff and totally on board with vegan customers. I had vegetable steamed dumplings and sesame tofu. All was delish! I would give it 5 stars, but that’s not an option on HappyCow for restaurants that aren’t fully vegan.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Edit
This place should not be on Happy Cow. They are completely hostile to vegans. Though they have a "vegan menu" almost nothing on it is actually vegan. The tofu is fried in the same oil as chicken, making it not vegan. I mentioned this to the waitress, she dismissed our concern because she used to be a vegan and is now so over that, she had no patience for those of us still consumed by it apparently. So we ordered a fresh spring roll, which was actually good and tasted vegan. Nice Hoisin sauce.. But then we ordered a Tom Yum lemongrass soup. It tasted like fish sauce even though the waitress checked with the kitchen and they denied putting fish sauce in it. We also ordered two Chinese main dishes, tofu (steamed because the fried was not vegan) and vegetables, one with garlic sauce one with Szechuan sauce. Both of them tasted so much like meat. We asked the waitress about it, she talked to the kitchen and they denied cooking it with meat fat. Perhaps the wok was so coated with so much meat fat that they didn't even realize how much taste the cookware imparted. It was so disgusting. Inedible. The waitress wanted to assure us that eating tofu fried in a vat with chicken doesn't normally cause stomach problems for vegans. We mentioned that we are vegan for ethical reasons so no amount of chicken fat is ok with us. And the way she was denying that anything had any meat taste in it was a sort of gaslighting. At least they comped our uneaten meal. They could have charged us for the tea and the fresh spring rolls that were fine, but they didn't ask us to pay for those, so I do appreciate that.

Cozy and delicious - Edit
I hadn’t been here in so many years, but I am glad that I did.
Read moreThis is an “Asian Fusion” Restaurant that has several different cuisines. I usually worry about “fusion” places because that may mean that they don’t do anything particularly well, it we were pleasantly surprised.
Surprised and delighted that they have a special separate Vegan menu, too. You are not restricted to the Vegan menu, though because they can do any dish as vegan. They clearly understand vegan cooking.
We started with fresh spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce. The spring rolls were large and tasty.
I had a Vegetable Pho that was so large I had to take half of it home. It was so tasty and came with a plate of sprouts and fresh herbs and other items to add to the broth as well as some flavorful umami sauce. The soup bowl itself had plenty of vegetables and rice noodles.
We also had the Pad Thai which was a little oily for our tastes but very tasty and again, a large portion.
The restaurant is really inexpensive and conveniently located across fro Swillburger and down the street from the Cinema Theater (which is owned now by vegans. They have only vegan snacks at the snack bar!)
We will be back!
Pros: Great food, Friendly folks, Vegan menu
