They have a small menu, but a consistent high quality. I've never been let down by a meal here. The taquitos are addictive, but don't let them distract you from trying the tacos especial, the mole is unbelievably good. And that's all without talking about the sauce. It's truly exceptional. I don't think you'll find another place serving up food like Flacos.

I went with the taquito plate. It was $9.81 coming with two taquitos, a salad w/ dressing, choice of beans & brown rice. I went with the refried beans made w/ pinto beans & organic olive oil.
I had a choice between mild or hot avocado salsa. I enjoy spicy food since I had my taste buds burned off in India years ago so figured I could handle the heat so opted for the hot salsa. The taquito is flavored soy protein wrapped in a corn tortilla & fried. It had a crisp firm texture & was flavorful. Both taquitos came smothered in the hot avocado salsa.
Even though I enjoy spicy food the hot was quite spicy & wish they had a medium option. I will probably opt for mild next time to see the difference.
I'm glad it came w/ salad & dressing as well as the refried beans & rice. It was a tasty & filling meal. On Tues you can get a dollar off the taquito plate & on Thurs you can get a dollar off the taco plate. They are closed on Mon. I look forward to coming back to try the taco plate.

Just love the vibe and the food here. Everything is handmade from scratch, the flavors are wonderful and authentic. Everything tastes fresh. They have daily themes so you get a little bit of a deal, for example, on Taquito Tuesdays or Taco Thursdays. I love the . I love the Red Huarache with Mole, and the bean tacos. Their salsas are divine. Outdoor seating only, but usually plenty of space. And, there's parking!! Their web site says, "Flacos is a casual environment that looks to serve the community as if everyone is family" and this really feels true.

Wonderful Mexican Stand - Edit
I ordered their Huararche ($10) with soy protein. It was a dish with homemade corn tortillas layered with beans, rice, cilantro, cabbage, onions, and served with raddish. It also comes with a spicy avocado dressing despite the menu saying that it comes with avocado itself. That sauce they use on top is SPICY if you opt for the spicy option, so please do because it was delicious. I also loved the thick homemade corn tortillas that they use, and was some of the best I've had.
Read moreAlthough I enjoyed the food, there were a few bumps along the way that soured our experience a bit. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for our food and noticed a ton of people, even those that ordered after us, receive their meals before we did. They also forgot to include the soy protein in my order and I hadn't realized it til I had already chewed into most of my dish. Our food also ended up being served in takeout containers since they were closing up, but my friends received their dressing in real sauce containers while I had the plastic ones. These are small things but definitely something I noticed right away.
Despite the small mishaps, I really enjoyed the meal and the team here were super friendly and awesome. I'd love to come back to try more of their offerings - maybe earlier in the day so that they don't get slammed with a dinner rush even though they close at 19:00.

I'm glad to have Flacos because there aren't too many options for fully vegan Mexican food in the Bay. The first time I came here was during early COVID and tables weren't out for seating, so I'm updating the review. There was plenty of outdoor seating when I came today, and the food was awesome.

I randomly found this gem while walking around one day shortly after I went vegan. I didnt realize it was a vegan restaurant at first and when I came in and started reading the menu it slowly dawned on me. I have taken my family here several times since then and this is one of my wife's favorite restaurants. The value is great and all of the options are delicious. We usually get some of each option to feed everyone. Highly recommended!

I just don’t think vegan Mexican is that good if you aren’t adding a cashew cheese. I liked that it was authentic and basically was a taqueria without the meat. But the food was not especially tasty and the avocado salsa was fairly bland. I’d go again if I’m in the vicinity, but not to make a special trip to it.
