Do Not Answer Phone - Edit
Made a special trip to eat here but the hours on Google Maps and here are obviously wrong - as is the location on Google Maps (as I see now based on reviews), they are a food stall not a shop (as pictures would have you believe). To top things off, they don't answer their phone when I'm trying to establish what the hell has happened, really frustrating.

Delicious food made with love! - Edit
Five Buns is located above a pub-turned-event space called The Macbeth and from the outside there isn’t much sign of it, so you’d be unlikely to come across it by accident. We had a booking for 6pm, but we were in the area around 4pm so we decided to pop into the ‘pub’ for a few drinks before our meal. However, it’s not actually a pub (despite Google claiming that it’s open from 4pm on weekdays), and is actually now an event space. On initial arrival, I actually thought the place had closed down and it was only after standing for a few minutes wondering what to do that a light came on and we realised someone was inside. We were let in just after that and the man (who turned out to be the founder) explained that it’s actually now an events space and no longer a pub, and it also turned out that the restaurant itself had been opened just for us for our booking and was going to close again afterwards. It felt a bit strange sitting in the empty restaurant with just one person serving and cooking for us initially, but he was very friendly and welcoming, and we soon felt more at home. Unfortunately, he didn’t have the arancini, onion rings or sweet potato chips which we were hoping to order but he did have the burgers we wanted and we ordered some other sides instead. We ordered the Black Jack & California burgers with ‘This Isn’t Chicken’ nuggets, chips, 2 potato croquettes and a couple of extra pots of mayo. The burgers were really delicious – The Black Jack burger had pulled BBQ jackfruit and was just full of flavour, and the California burger had the Beyond patty which I love and was also full of flavour. The sides were also really tasty with large portions (including a few extra nuggets chucked in for free!) and everything was cooked in an air fryer so wasn’t oily which was really awesome. The extra pots of mayo were also huge which was great! The founder was really lovely and told us all about his business and was clearly very proud of his food, which had clearly been made with a lot of love. I’d recommend coming here as the food is delicious – but it’s worth making a booking!

Guilt-free and delicious fast food - Edit
Guilt-free and delicious fast food seemed too good to be true, so I confess I was hesitant to try it, but I was completely blown away! I tried the jackfruit burger, arancino, salame al cioccolato, potato croquettes, chips, and EVERYTHING was SO delicious! I had almost given up on trying vegan arancini after some awful experiences, but this one was incredible! I can't believe it's all vegan, AIR-FRIED, AND with gluten-free options! I'd say it's London's healthy version of the chain Vegan Junk Food Bar, because they also have those cool colourful buns! And on top of that, the chef is so friendly, the place is really cosy, and even the music that was playing was lovely! The only "criticisms" is that the gluten-free bun was a bit dry, but I don't think it's possible to make a fluffy vegan bun without gluten. And that is too hidden - I almost walked past it because it's on second floor of a pub. So whenever possible, I would suggest getting a bigger street sign😄

We weren't sure what to expect when we visited, especially as we had to go upstairs through an empty pub! What we found was a super warm welcome, fantastic vegan burgers and delicious wine. Loved it and will be back soon!😄

Italy is closer than you think - Edit
Loved the cool decor which gave the place a fresh, wholesome feel. Delicious food and I mean delicious!!! Can't believe I was eating comfort food with so few calories. The riviera blue burger was amazing and so tasty. It reminded me of summer in Italy. Air fried chips were delicious and crisper than regular chips. Served with some really tasty home made dips and mayonnaise.

I was looking for something tasty amid lock down restrictions and this really hit the spot. The burger was so delicious and the fries were light and not greasy at all. Perfect lunch! I ordered with Deliveroo and it was all really smooth and got here quickly
