Thoughtful, delicious vegan options! - Edit
They can make most tacos vegan. My fried oyster mushroom Vietnamese style taco was super fresh, flavorful and delicious! The Sticky Salty Eggplant was addictive. So welcoming and willing to help vegan customers navigate the menu. Just fabulous!

Worth the wait! - Edit
First off--totally 5 stars but since it isn't 100% vegan 4 is the max allowed.
Read moreIf you are going to Galveston or just love tacos make sure you stop here for lunch. Go early because the line can be long and they will sell out.
We had the Baja and the Vietnamese tacos made vegan with fried mushrooms. Both were delicious. I think the Vietnamese was slightly better but my daughter thinks the opposite. So you can't go wrong with either choice. Each taco had a different shell flavor. They were homemade too. I think one was avocado but can't remember the other.
There is indoor and outdoor seating but the beach is just a short walk away too.
Additionally we got onion rings that came with what we would describe as a spicy marinara but was listed as ketchup. Amazing seasoning on the onion rings.
We also got the pickled (seasonal) veggies and they were really good.
We visited at Spring Break and it also happened to be St Patrick's Day so the line was very long. Since everything is made to order, this is not a fast moving line. Stick with it. The tacos are worth the wait!
Pros: Delicious tacos, They definitely know vegan, Indoor and outdoor seating
Cons: Long line and wait (worth it!), Limited hours (plan ahead!)

Amazing unique tacos - Edit
Went here in the summer when traveling thru. I wish I could remember FOR SURE which tacos I got but I can’t!! Most come vegetarian but can be modified vegan easily.
Read moreI’m almost sure I got the Vietnamese flavor taco and the “empire”. These were so good and so unique. The empire taco has green onion, cilantro and bbq sauce. It was a flavor explosion. I wish I lived nearby so I could get them often.
For some reason the “pickled bits” are so good too. Worth the $2 if you like pickled veggies.
Only negative is how long it took after ordering online.
Pros: Unique flavors
Cons: Order took a while

Delicious!! - Edit
So...I can’t give a five star rating because it’s not ALL vegan?? Lame. They deserve a million stars!! Any place that can take their menu and adapt it to be vegan is simply spectacular. The Empire tacos were so good we ordered another order after our first try!! We have loved Chef since she was at another location with a different name. It’s been ages and she remembered us!! And, it isn’t everywhere the people that you are with says “I’ll come here again and try your plate!”, when they are from Dallas and having one of each already 🤣🤣 The onion rings were so delicious—light and airy with just enough kick in the sauce to make them amazing!! Y’all....Chef uses eggplant, Bok choy and mushrooms in a light tempura for the vegan options. And don’t forget to try the Thai tea!! You will not be disappointed. You will be happily surprised. Well done, chef. Well done!! See you again soon!!!

Not really sure what they gave me... - Edit
I asked what they could make vegan and they seemed very knowledgeable. I ordered 2 vegan tacos please.
Read moreI took the food to go, when I got to the beach it looked as though they gave me squid. Just tossed it. Very disappointed. Never seen a plant based protein that looked like squid.
They had a really accommodating vibe though.
Pros: The Brussels Sprout side was tasty.

It’s a bummer that you tossed them. Your filling was fried bok choy. I don’t use meat “ alternatives “ but instead locally grown veg or mushrooms.

Amazing vegan options - Edit
Would give five stars if allowed. Nearly all menu items have a vegan option. Everything is made fresh in house and is very thoughtfully prepared. Tacos can be made vegan with fried bok choy, black fungus or tofu. Vegan Tom Yum and Tom Kha are incredible.
