Large creative menu! - Edit
Overall really enjoyed my time here. Originally wanted to come here for some coffee, as it seemed to be raved about in other views. However they don’t open until 11am, so unfortunately had to settle for a coffee elsewhere/before.
Read moreStill wanted to come by here and check it out— had the Mexican inspired hot dog, which was very tasty, as well as the Strongbow ciders— red berries & elderflower, both delicious but a tad sweet for my preference. I wish I had bigger appetite to try out some of the other creative dishes on the menu— a very nice switch up from the traditional Vietnamese cuisine in the area— one of the few places I think in HCMC with this kind of menu!
Owner was very friendly/welcoming too. If I had more time in HCMC I would plan to come back and try out some of the other dishes.
Pros: Large creative menu, Reasonably priced
Cons: Doesn’t open until 11am

Great range of western vegan food! For me the highlight was the vegan vietnamese iced coffee with a donut and a slice of blueberry cheesecake!

Great affordable western vegan food - Edit
Kieran provides such friendly service that we came back a 2nd time on our last night in the city. We felt right at home here so far away from home. I definately recommend the chilli con carne hot dog however couldnt get through it all as the meals are so big! Great coconut coffee and gin tonics. Far cheaper than other vegan places we found in HCM 😁

Not what I expected - Edit
We came there for Donuts but they where not ready. The coffee was very good. I think the food is homemade which I really like. The waitress was kind of grumpy. She suggested to take the cheesecake instead. So I did. It was not really like cheesecake. It was blue and so greasy. I was full after a quarter of a piece. I didn't liked it, was too fatty for me. Gave me a kind of heart attack feeling. We also ordered a burger with vegan cheese. It came without the cheese and was very small and without any sauce. There were some fries but not much. The burger pattie was made out of mashed veggies and a bit spicy. We liked the spiciness! That was nice and it tasted okay. All in all it seems that the food is made very unloved. The food was expensive.

Disappointing - Edit
I hate giving vegan places bad reviews, so I’m sorry to do this, but I feel that it’s important to give an honest review as we were expecting amazing food after all the good reviews on here and unfortunately our experience was completely different. Perhaps it was just a bad day, who knows. But the mains we ordered - hotdogs and burgers -were average at best, with the “hotdog” seeming like it was just a mash of carrot and potato rather than a meat-sub such as tofu or Seitan which we were expecting. (Perhaps we didn’t read the menu properly). However, it was our dessert of mint choc chip ice-cream which really disappointed us - it just seemed like flavoured ice, with the important “cream” element sadly missing. I’m really surprised the owners felt comfortable serving this as there really was nothing ice-cream like in its texture or flavour - better to take it off the menu than serve up something so sub-standard.
Read moreThe staff seem really lovely and I’m sure people appreciate Western food if they haven’t had it for a while, but if you’re used to good vegan Western food from nearby countries such as Thailand, or if you come from a Western country such as the US or the U.K. where vegan junk food is prolific, then it might be best to stick to the great Vietnamese vegan eateries around the city.
Pros: All vegan
Cons: Disappointing food

Wide range of meal options, from smaller snacks to huge hunger killers. I had a burrito and even after two hours I still feel stuffed. Big suggestion, you wont be disappointed or hungry.

Called filthy vegan for a reason... - Edit
We arrived excited to try Western vegan food in central Ho Chi Ming city. We were very disappointed.
Read moreThe restaurant itself is very dirty. It is called filthy vegan for a reason. The cloth coasters were once white and now are a dingy brown. Do not use the washroom.
The food was overall below average. We ordered six main dishes and five desserts. The two items that were acceptable were the French fries and hot dog. The spaghetti was burnt on the ends and the mushroom sauce watery. The tofish was so hard a knife would not even cut it. The burrito was full of vegan greasy meat. There were no vegetables or rice at all. The doughnuts were hard and old - clearly frozen and rock hard. The ice cream was freezer burnt.
Just a big disappointment.
The staff were helpful and very friendly. They helped us order a taxi and we are very grateful for that.
Pros: Friendly staff, English service, Helped us get a taxi
Cons: Dirty restaurant , Below average food, Dirty restaurant

no tasty food - Edit
HotDog was ok, the price was fair. The Burgerpatty was okay, but the "cheese" wasnt tasty and not worth the price. But the biggest fail was the so called cheesecake. It tasted like a block of butter. 3$ is far to much, not even worth 1$. Please dont call it cheesecake, thats not good for veganism.
Read moreThe ice cream tasted like several times thawed and frozen again. Far away from "creamy". We had also the brownie, which was okay, so we ordered another one and this one was dry as dust. The smoothies and the Burrito were okay. The location is also okay, but there is the owner's child inside the restaurant and the guests have to chat with her, no matter if you like it.
Pros: prices are fair
Cons: no tasty food

A lot of options - Edit
Went there twice, the first time had one of the burgers - it was home made so it lacked consistency, just had the tendency to fall apart (something that usually occurs in bean burgers) and I think it was missing some more layers, it just felt like it was raw onion and lettuce. But also had the chocolate brownie which was very very tasty!
Read moreThe second time went with 2 friends, I had the Mexican hot dog - it was amazing, really well served, the chili part was delicious; one of them had the tacos which were also very well served and looked amazing, filled with a vegan kind of minced meat, peppers, chopped mushrooms and veggies, the other had the spaghetti with mushrooms, that also looked great.
The owner is extremely nice, super friendly and very cheerful, makes the whole experience even better!
Pros: All vegan, Really friendly owner, Variety
Cons: Bit expensive, as usual in western places

It’s good. - Edit
A good alternative to Vietnamese food, if that’s what you need. Had the cottage pie and a donut. Both were okay. Perhaps I should’ve opted for a hot dog and fries. The ice cream wasn’t fully prepared when I was there and I was disappointed I didn’t get to try. Service is great and English is very much spoken there.

Friendly and comfortable - Edit
We liked it so much that wanted to eat there every day, however unfortunately this nice little restaurant was far from district 7. All the dishes we had tried were great, especially when we were getting tired of the local cuisine. Amazing pizza, great cottage pie, super crunchy tacos, delicious hot dogs, nice desserts and shakes! In addition, the whole atmosphere of this place is cozy and friendly and the owner is a great guy! I wish there were more vegan places like this, then perhaps more people would ditch meat. :)

Vegan Comfort Food at its Best - Edit
Was on a holiday in Vietnam and ate here with two friends (one vegan, one not). Had the 'Fish' n' Chips for dinner and apple crumble with custard for afters. It was a great hearty meal at a very reasonable price; and I was almost overwhelmed with the level of choice on the menu. We ate here quite late, so they had run out of some of the options but we still had a great level of choice. We got talking to the owner, who was lovely and we plan on going back for the 'Full English' breakfast soon before we leave Vietnam. World definitely recommend you try this place.
