Very cute vegan cafe in Zagreb. Hot drinks come with the plant-based milk of your choice. If you steal a baby cows milk it costs extra (love it). We also had the banana bread with chocolate which was great.

Friendly plant based cafe - Edit
Nice place with great plant milk choices. Small number of vegan pastry choices but homemade and tasty. We didn’t even have the coffee (matcha latte for me and chai latte for my wife) but enjoyed the experience of relaxing and people watching very much. There is also a garden in the back.

The staff was super friendly. I love that they Charge for every kind of milk (even cow milk). Never felt so comfortable. I also love the fact that they make their milk themselves and you can see the ingredients in jars. They also got three kinds of Coffee beans :)

Popped in for breakfast with my son. I had an Americano with oat. They give you plenty of oat milk and of course no vegan tax, no extra charge for it. I had the chocolate filled croissant. I think it was a plain croissant with a type of chocolate cream piped in. It was very nice. My son had this too, his friend had the last slice of chocolate banana cake. I've read they tend to sell out of cakes and pastry's we called at 11am.

Cosy café & no charge for vegan milk - Edit
The café is placed in the pedestrian zone - so sitting outside in the sun is a great opportunity to enjoy Zagreb. The coffee was great and the staff was very nice. As a big plus, vegan milk is not charged extra - but dairy milk is, thank you, that is honestly an amazing idea.

Read moreI had the cashew coconut drink with my Flat White - definitely tasted different from commercial plant milks! I would’ve wished to taste more of the coconut though. Their coffee is tasty.

We went to this place for breakfast but unfortunately the bakery they are working with is currently on annual leave so they didn’t have the filled croissant I was craving for. So in the end, we only went for a drink.

The coffees were good but would need to come back to grade them again including their food section.

All in all a great place, I will definitely come back when I’ll be in Zagreb again!

Filteraj has a large outdoor seating area in a very central location of Zagreb, 2 minutes from the central square.

Thankfully they also have a lovely Harissa Blueberry Roisboss tea!
I had a very well proportioned croissant filled with coconut cream they also do savoury salad croissants which is a great idea.
They do milk as an option for those who don't care and they charge extra for it!! Nice!

I came back (22/5/25) this time in time to get some cake! The daytime service is equally friendly and informative and the banana choc cake is seriously good, the brownie is good too though a bit different which I appreciate but when consumed alongside the banana cake it didn’t stand a chance!
Whilst sipping my coffee I read an interesting article in the Standart mag -that lies about the place - about coffee and straightedge, boy am I becoming hip!

The best vegan café in Zagreb! I really like the idea to upcharge cow's milk instead of plant-based milk. The prices are very good and the staff was super friendly. We had a Latte and the Matcha White Choco Cake. Very tasty, we'll be back! ☕️🍰

The croissants were lovely and large. There is a plain and filled option. I liked the plain one more, probably because I expected more of a creamy vanilla taste to the filing.
Read moreThe cinnamon rolls were slightly on the dry side. I've never had cinnamon rolls before, so I can't say if this is normal or not.
They had lovely looking cakes in the display window, but I haven't tried those yet. 😀
