I Bao down before thee - Edit
The staff at Figar Bao Bun is extremely friendly. Even though they could not understand English that well they really made an effort in explaining how the Figar Bao Bun format works.
Read moreThe baos themselves are simply heavenly. The texture of the bun is perfectly fluffy and the seitan filling is cooked and spiced just how it should be.
The kim chi is delicious as well as a nice side, although it's a little bit on the sweet side (which honestly, works really well for me).

Die Bao Buns sind sehr zum Empfehlen. Alles kann auf Wunsch auch vegan mit seitan zubereitet werden. Nicht abschrecken lassen, dass es als nichtvegetarisches Restaurant gelistet ist, unbedingt einmal ausprobieren!

Gorgeous comforting tasy food - Edit
Its a real shame this place isn't veggie or vegan cos then I'd give it 5 stars. It could be argued that adding meat serving places like this to Happy Cow in a city like Vienna with loads of great veg and vegan restaurants is "counter revolutionary"!! But this meal of Bao Buns was a delight, I've never seen them before and I'd hate tothink fellow vegan foodies might miss out if I didn't tell you about them. Yes go to Harvest down the road its a great vegetarian cafe first but then try here for your lunch or even a big snack! The menu marks the seitan burger as the vegan option but you can ask for all or most of the other flavour options to have seitan instead of the meat options. I intend to go back here next time I am in Vienna. And then have my desert at Veganista a few doors down the road again!!
