Great vegan lunch with an amazing view!

Lunch with an absolut great view over Lake Atitlán!
Vegetarian menu with many vegan dishes: burger, borrito, pita, salad, rice, pasta, breakfast and more. Drinks: smoothies, kombucha and regular drinks.
I had the tandoori tempeh peta wich came with beetroot salad, delicious, too bad we did not have more time to order something else as we had to meet our group to catch our boat.

Pros: Menu options, Location, Healthy

Cons: There is a cat so your on dog on a leash

One of the best vegan pizzas!

I've been here twice to the spicy tandoori tempeh pesto pizza and it's absolutely delicious. It's SO good! I'd come here more often for meals if I wasn't staying at my homestay now. I want to try out their entire menu. Also, their staff is really friendly as well and service was great. Staff gave me a glass of water even though I didn't ask for one. Would highly recommend! I believe on TripAdvisor it's also rated the #1 restuarant of San Pedro. Only con is their limited hours.

Pros: Vegan options clearly marked, Great service & friendly staff , Delicious food

Cons: Limited hours

Very good

Really nice food here but the opening hours suck. Open too late for breakfast and closed too early for dinner.
Another building has sprung up blocking the view of the lake which is really unfortunate for these guys.

Pros: Good food

Cons: Opening hours

Hands down the best vegan restaurant in San Pedro

Fifth Dimension is a vegan/vegetarian haven; boasting a broad menu of predominantly vegan dishes, all of which are delicious and nutritious. Set over two levels, with a great view of the lake, it serves salads, burritos, pizzas, curries and myriad drinks and deserts. The staff are lovely and the food is generally on the table quickly, I cannot recommend highly enough. My only gripe is that it isn’t open for dinner

Pros: Great healthy food, Decent sized portions, Friendly staff

Cons: Only open till 5pm

Best vegan pizza in Guatemala!

I originally wrote a less-than-great review in 2014. The restaurant has changed a lot since then, and is now one of my favorites. I’ll make the boat trip from Panajachel just for their tempeh pizza. They have great juices, nice salads, and one of the best selections of vegan items around the lake.

Deliciousness with a view

Damn. This food was good. I stuffed myself on the vegan tempeh pizza and it was stunning. Fresh pesto, arugula, avocado, and tempeh. One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Go. Eat. Enjoy the view.

Best food in town

I went here literally every single day during my five days in San Pedro. The food is absolutely amazing (my omni friends loved it too) and I will be recommending it to everyone I meet. Quite easy to find - just look for the sign after Hostel Fe.

Pretty close to perfect

If you're a vegetarian visiting the lake, head to San Pedro where there are more than a few options. We heard about Fifth Dimension while refueling at Mayachik in San Juan, and we tuk-tukked over from San Juan to check it out.

So many options, hard to decide what to get. My veggie burrito was outstanding and enormous, the accompanying slaw unusual but also good, prices were moderate, and we felt really smart for having had the good sense to give it a try as we were staying across the lake in Pana.

But that's not all. On the upstairs deck, the view of the lake is spectacular. Note that the street is lined with eateries that also look out on the lake, so not unique to Fifth Dimension, but getting to sit there and soak up the view just made lunch that much better.

Pros: The view!, Outstanding veggie options, Huge portions

Home Cafe & Tea House San Pedro

We loved this place. Great food, atmosphere, music and people. It used to be called Cafe Home but they merged with the other Vegetarian restaurnt and they now cal the place Fifth Dimension.

I believe it's the only Vegetarian restaurant in San Pedro and the food was really delicious - they have quite a few vegan options too. The Pizzas are amazing and very decent size. Tey their Tandoori marinated Tempeh - it's a soy protein that is super delicious.
The staff were really friendly and attentive and let us hang out all afternoon in the really cute garden they have - I didn't wanna move form the hammock!

They were open for breakfast and lunches when we were there - usually closing in the latter part of the afternoon.
They have nice things for dessert - including gluten-free and vegan options - with a good selection of teas and organic coffee.

It's now easier to find in it's latest location- you come off the boat from the Panajachel dock.and take the first right. Follow that road and it's just after Hostel Fe on your left. You'll see their logo hanging with a "5". You go up a narrow concrete path (away from the lake) and up a few steps to the doorway.

amazing

I seriously can not get enough of this place. I tried their two vegan pizzas which were delicious as well as their veggie burrito (vegan, made with their special "fake meat"). The burrito was my absolute favourite, I went back several times just for this dish. If you're in San Pedro, do not miss this amazing restaurant!

Pros: delicious , friendly staff

Cons: a little bit pricey.

Great food!

We had the vegan tandoori tempeh pizza and the eggplant lasagne (special that day) and it was truly amazing! Lovely guy from Ireland runs the place. Best vegan food we've had on our trip so far. Also the diaries with comments/thoughts from fellow travelers are a fun read.

Pros: great vegan food, good location

Cons: closes pretty early

Friendly, delicious, adventurous

This is a gem on Lake Atitlan. Always a friendly welcome, great, varied and reasonably priced tasty food and drinks. We just had the tempeh stir fry, which was totally delicious. The peanut based 'veggie meat' burritos are a favourite. There is a wide range of drinks, from homemade lemonade with orange and mint, to homemade kombucha and kefir. Their Eco-credentials are impeccable - no plastic straws, water refills, so you can enjoy great food, with wonderful views of the Lake with a clear conscience. Go there!

Pros: Friendly staff, Great food, Nice vibe

Moved! New Locatin.

This resturant has moved and joined with my other fave 5th Dimention. Take a right after the boat dock, pass Hotel Fe and there up on the left with a nice balcony. Most everything is still on the menu and added to what 5th Dimention already had. Wierd hours though.

Pros: Vegan and vegetarian options., Nice view of the lake., Two restuarants merged into one, it seems.

Cons: Kind of hard to find., Odd hours.

Relaxing!

It is quite expensive for San Pedro standards, but normal for European standards. If you're on a budget, I'd recommend just coming here for dessert - the food was nice, but not the best in San Pedro - that said, I only tried one dish, so I can't really judge.

Pros: Vegan desserts!!!, Really relaxing atmosphere

Cons: Expensive

Nice, higher end (for San Pedro)

Beautiful spot in a garden, with a nice menu focusing on healthy, fresh, organic, veg. They had soy/almond options for drinks, most stuff is/can be made vegan - ranging from breakfast to sandwiches, to dinner. Had tofu as well.

Great vegan deserts - Mango Cinnamon pie that was delicious. Peanut butter bars, cookies and more.

It's pretty pricey for San Pedro, but still very affordable by US or European standards.

Amazing little spot

First thing's first, this is a one-man show and everything is slow-cooked and made by hand. It may be worth it to call ahead to place your order, or to stop in and order and then go walk around and come back when the food is ready. A little patience goes a long way here, but it's worth the effort.

I really think it's fantastic spot and am thrilled to have it as an option. The vegan pot pies are divine, there are great, creative smoothies(!), the spot is comfortable and beautiful with awesome lake views, good music, and the owner is a very nice guy. The house green salsa is superb and the burritos and pizzas are delicious. Lots of vegan options and a sweet cat named Mish.

Go support this place if you're in San Pedro! It's a bit out of the way but not hard to find at all. Remember that it closes pretty early most days (around 4:30), but is open late on Sundays for movie night. Don't miss it.

Pros: great home-style veggie food, nice atmosphere, friendly owner

Cons: somewhat limited selection, not open most evenings
