Great bento box experience - Edit
Very fresh food and comes with some free soup. One of our best food xperiences in Taiwan so far. 120 TWD for rice with veggies and vegan meat. Staff understood English

Fenqihu hotel serves their famous bento boxes until 7pm. Although not the cheapest in the area, 120ntd for the vegetarian option still feels good value (you get 10ntd off if staying at the hotel).
Read moreCame with the typical cabbage,sweet bean curd strips (I think?) and other veggies on top of rice, with the protein being some form of seitan/soy. Overall tasted really good and was filling. Popular place so can get busy at lunch and you may need to take away. Comes with free 'soup' (veggie broth). Served in a nice metal tin that you can purchase to take away if you'd like.
Pros: Tasty bento, Good value
Cons: Only one vegan option

The staff could speak perfect English, so they told me the vegetarian lunch box didn’t contain any dairy, eggs, nor honey.

It was good, but nothing outstanding. But better than eating bananas for dinner.
