Great food for a lunch break - Edit

Great comfy place. The chefs are great and really friendly and knowledgeble of what's vegan and will offer replacements. The food is delicious and extremely filling. The chipotle vegenaise is great and can be used instead of regular vegenaise.

Pros: Great food, Healthy, Vegan

Cons: Busy lunch area, Can be difficult to find

Good For an Occasional Change - Edit

This place was quite difficult to find. I was on my lunch break and had go find it quickly. Its nestled on a cute little quaint shopping lane. Picture Brand Blvd. in Glendale but quite a bit more norrow. The place is small but there are lots of business type folks there picking up lunch and dining in. True, they don't have many vegetarian options and on first look the portion sizes don't look too great but I was satisfied. I ordered the "beef" gyro. The avacado, meat, couscous and garlic flavors were perfect. They have a club sandwhich that sounds yummy too. Prices arent too great (got the gyro and veggie chips for about $8. ) Its worth a try if you don't mind the poor parking situation and the slightly pricy vegetarian menu options. They have live entertainment on the weekends occasionally.

Pros: Eccletic Atmosphere, Kind Staff, Quick

Cons: Terrible Parking Mid-Day, A little Pricy

Best Chicken Chipotle Sandwich - Edit

They have an awesome array of veggie sandwiches and soups. The owner is open to suggestions. And the decor is awesome. They have an unhappy jack hanging from the wall and a big slogan that says your food will not be cooked by a clown. The sandwiches come with some sort of couscous and the lemonade is to die for. All of their smoothies are made with soy milk. And i cant wait to go back next week :)

Pros: excellent sandwiches, excellent soups, amazing drinks

Cons: cash only

Veg Friendly and Very welcoming - Edit

While this store sells the full range of meat products, they are wholesome and mindful to offer only the best and purest of all ingredients. Their cucumber/avocado sandwich is one of their vegan options and it's a very filling, and satisfying option. Ask them about their coconut shake too - it's a hit!

The staff are friendly and will find out anything you ask them to make sure your meal meets your dietary requirements.

Pros: Friendly, Great Menu, Nice setting

Cons: Not purely vegetarian

Fenix 5-4 - Edit

Not all vegetarian but has some good vegetarian options. Promotes itself as a pure food eatery. I loved the vegetarian chicken chipotle sandwhich. The have a veggie sausage sandwich called the Big Elvis & a couple other veg sandwiches, soups, and vegetarian chili. Since Veggie Bistro closed Whittier has had limited veg options. This place has a nice atmosphere and the employees seem nice and helpful.

Pros: Good food, friendly staff, healthy

Cons: not 100% vegetarian
