Cheap and filling - Edit

Lots of food that makes you feel full

Local and huge portions - Edit

Excellent local spot. I had been craving breadfruit since I stepped on the island and I got my fill. Very affordable and great place to really get island cuisine. No frills sort of place, but grab a Piton and buckle up for some yummy food that tastes and feels home cooked.

Great food, portion sizes, and price for St Lucia - Edit

Fedo's is an institution, and one recommended by the locals. It charges you local prices and the portions are huge. No vegan or vegetable meals are listed on the menu, so you just need to tell the lady, and she'll make a plate up for you. For about $6.50 USD, you can get a plate of salad, rice and beans, plantain, and ground provisions (yam etc). The hot sauce is highly recommended and also try the passion fruit juice -- it's so delicious!
