Grateful this place is surviving - Edit
I happened to be in Alexandria unexpectedly, and knew I had to visit the fauxmagerie. Not a lot of options in this village; its one highly-rated cafe was being dismantled when our family arrived. I half expected Zengarry to be closed down too, but it was open and I stocked up. It's in an unassuming strip mall, but pleasant inside.
Read moreMy favourite cheezes from there so far are the Pub Cheddar and the cumin Gouda-style. I don't drink beer so was surprised how much I liked the Pub Cheddar. It's got that tangy zip.
I wanted to log my review here to encourage you all to keep this little shop alive!
Pros: All items they sold were vegan, Delicious local product (cultured cashew cheeses), Place seemed fresh and clean
Cons: Located in a dinky strip mall in a very small town
