Good lunch/coffee place - Edit
Cafe Fau serves a very affordable daily lunch (4.50 EUR), cakes etc. I had both lunch and cake and both was good - maybe not fine dining, but fine. The lunch was a combo of pasta salad and chickpea patties. The place is very small and seems popular. Go if you're hungry!

Peaceful lunch & coffee place -- the real thing - Edit
Real food -- clearly homemade.
Read moreOne lunch / day. No dinner.
Cake, "Nussecken" (very german: 'nut wedges'), "Marmorkuchen" ('marble cake'), very good coffee, lemonades...
Very peaceful, lotsa information about animal right topics available.
Not a chain, no hipsters, the real thing.
In easy walking distance of / to city centre / central shopping mall.
Pros: Peaceful, "real", hommeda food

Hooray! - Edit
This little (100% vegan) cafe offers a lunch daily menu (only one option per day; weekly menu posted on facebook). There are lots of soups and stews, which are fine, but nothing amazing—however, Thursday is burger day (many different variations), and they are always fantastic. Reservations are recommended (especially on Thursdays, or during peak lunch times). They also have an assortment of cupcakes, baked goods, and hot and cold drinks. Very kid friendly, with a basket of toys, kids' books, and a little play area. Indoor and (weather permitting) outdoor seating. Very friendly, mostly young people and students. They also do brunch on weekends, but I've never tried it.
