No longer exists - Edit
This place has recently been replaced by a different company (that isn't vegan).

An excellent and welcoming café - Edit
We popped in here for lunch and felt that both the food and service was excellent. I couldn't manage a piece of the vegan carrot cake after my meal (homemade houmous with pitta bread, salad and crudites - delicious!) so I had some to take away with me instead. A real highlight of our visit to Totnes and we'll definitely be back!

Lovely staff and lovely place - Edit
I felt compounded to review Fat lemons after reading a very negative April add on.
Read moreI do not recognise anything that this post made re negativity.
The family that run it are independant and try hard EVERY DAY to give everyone a fab experience and I should know as visit twice a week.
The drinks and food are always lovely as are the staff.
I do feel very strongly that persons that write negative reviews on sites like this should think about the implications of their negative comments .You could put people out of business with comments like this . Talk to people instead and think before you write !
Hope you comment when places are good and persons nowadays are quick to whinge but not so quick to praise.
Don't worry Fat Lemons -your regulars love you !

Pretty expensive and not very nice staff. - Edit
Felt pretty unwelcome when my daughter went into this cafe. We both felt the older lady which served us was quite rude and unfriendly.
Read moreThe two cheese scones and hot chocolate was 8. 50 pounds which is very expensive.
Although we appreciated the hot chocolate very much the cheese scones were dry.
Maybe the lady that served us was having a bad day but it really effected our experience here. Wouldn't want to visit this place again although maybe the meals are nice.
Pros: hot chocolate, garden
Cons: Rude staff, Expensive prices, Un welcoming

Pretty cafe with some vegan options - Edit
Fat Lemons has seating indoors and outside in a pretty courtyard which is dog-friendly.
Read moreThey had quite a range of cakes but only the carrot cake and the scones were vegan. These were tasty enough - though I really yearn for somewhere to get some soya whipping cream and offer a full vegan cream tea in Devon, rather than marg and jam!

Pros: some vegan options, soya milk for drinks, nice pot of tea
Cons: Not 100% vegan, vegan cream tea would be brill please!
