Good veg and vegan optioks - Edit
I had a vegan rendang as a suggested alternative to the veggie breakfast without egg. Beautifully presented and very tasty, though I'm not usually a big fan of tempeh.

Sorry I forgot to take a photo. It looked so good I just dived right in.

Rendang with tempeh amazing! - Edit
The food was so good. I had the vegan rendang with tempeh and it was such a wonderful flavour, especially paired with the vegetables and pickled vegetables. Also had the fat cupid punch which was really delicious but the "big" glass of punch is huge. Too much with dinner as well. The ambiance was really nice too. The bruschetta also delicious and crispy/fresh :)

The BEST Malay food - Edit
Setting aside the slightly slow service, this food was unreal! Clearly marked vegan options - the best Malay food we had in Langkawi! The vegan Lontong and Rendang were fresh, hot and full of flavour. Possibly the best spring rolls we have ever had too…

Good range of vegan food. Very tasty Rendang with jackfruit and super tasty Laksa with very meat-like mushrooms. Service was also good.

We've been eating at Fat Cupid since 2019...the vegan menu has expanded to four super yummy mains in that time.

Current pictures on HappyCow don’t do it justice - Edit
Amazing experience! Our hotel was in the neighbourhood so we stumbled up on the place (randomly followed the sign at the street), and had amazing food.
Read moreWe were actually quite late and we were the only ones there but the server insisted on helping us. We asked for vegan options and he had plenty on the menu! They even work with a “Korean mushroom” that is crazy meaty!
Definitely visit this place with amazing staff and food.

Good Vegan Options - Edit
This is a nice restaurant connected to a hotel, but you don't need to be a hotel guest to dine there. We went for dinner and really enjoyed it.
Read moreWe shared the spring rolls to start, and found them crispy and tasty. There were two rolls each.
My partner had the lontong and loved it. It was nicely seasoned with lots of good vegetables and tempeh. There were also two bits of crispy bean curd skin which were fun. The only downside is that it used vermicelli noodles, and could have done with a more robust noodle, but that may be personal preference. It was very spicy!
I had the rendang, which was tasty but a bit too spicy for me. There was loads of tempeh in it, which I loved, and some fried tofu on the side that I liked. There were some vegetables on the side seasoned with sesame oil that I loved.
Vegan dishes are clearly labelled on the menu, but note that the laksa is labelled vegan but the description refers to egg noodles, so I'm not sure about that one. We were pretty confident about the other labelling though.
Service was friendly and fast, and it was a really pleasant spot for dinner.

Great - Edit
Great dining experience. Great food, good atmosphere, no mossies and the restaurant has a sustainability ethos, using aquaculture for their herbs and cocktails using home grown lemongrass. Beautiful plants and open dining, good service!

Not the cheapest option, but.. - Edit
Not the cheapest option in town, since many places offer cheaper vegetarian or vegan meals. However, the food is very nice, as is the staff. Definitely worth the few extra ringgit!
