Spicy Chickpeas - Edit

This place flew under my radar for far too long. I stopped in for the spicy chickpea dish, and it was fantastic. True to the restaurant's name it was both fast and tasty. I look forward to going back.

Pros: Great food, Good value, Friendly Staff

I had the yellow split peas with injera and it was so tasty! Also had the vegetable sambusa and the dipping sauce was amazing. Service was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I would definitely recommend this place!

Great service, great variety on the menu, would recommend - Edit

I came to Fresh n' Tasty yesterday on a shopping trip to Buffalo because I needed somewhere that could cater to vegans, meat eaters, and picky eaters. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and well decorated. There was one waitress that seemed to be serving all the tables and answering phones, and she did an excellent job, delivered food quickly, and was polite and organized. We ordered the grape leaves and baba ganoush as appetizers, and they came very quickly and were delicious. The menu had a lot of variety, so I was able to try something Ethiopian and vegan because I wanted to try something new, and my sister, who's a very picky eater, got a chicken burger and fries that she was happy with. My mom got a shawarma since she'd never tried one before and was very happy with it. There was a vegetarian section with a few different options, all of which sounded delicious. The entire meal, with 3 main dishes and 2 appetizers, cost only $30. Our food came quickly, and our water glasses were full the entire time. I give this restaurant 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone in Buffalo.

Pros: Good value, Great staff, Excellent food

Cons: No dessert menu

Vegan delicacies at an affordable price! - Edit

This place was fabulous! Atmosphere isn't much, but it's clean and the chairs are cozy. There is a vegetarian menu but most of the choices are vegan. There were plenty of vegan appetizers. Not sure what the main dishes I had were called, but one was a brown lentil stew, while the other was a potato cabbage stew. Both served with a pancake-like bread that has a taste like sour dough -- really complimented the stew. A small house salad comes with it as well. The grape leaves were outstanding as well. It was really inexpensive -- 2 main courses, plus the grape leaves and it came out to $21.00 -- well worth the price. I will go again with my husband.

Pros: Delicious vegan choices, Very inexpensive, Take credit cards

Cons: Atmosphere is a little blah, not a con really -- takes a bit of time cause it's

Vegan with an attitude - Edit

Many people have the misconception that being a vegan is to live in an unsatisfactory and unadventurous culinary world. This couldn't be farther from the truth at Gatur's. The Meiser Watt is red lentils with onions and tomatoes cooked with mitminta and other authentic ethiopian spices. It is filling and spicey. All vegetable dishes are served on injera. This flat bread is a sour-dough which has strong pro-biotics benefits. It is made with teff which is a grain native to Ethiopia. All veg dishes come with a salad with the house dressing. It is very zesty and delicious. The place is clean and inviting. The best Ethiopian food in Buffalo located in the trendy historic Allentown. The Ethiopian spiced tea is fair trade and not to be missed. There is nothing bland about these vegan dishes and they can be ordered very spicey if you prefer. This restaurant was started by refugees and is a showcase for the rebirth of Buffalo and the american dream.

Pros: ample portions, friendly staff, nice vibe

Cons: no highchairs, no booster seats
