Very poor food - Edit
Went Thursday 1st August ordered 2 scampi and 1 lasagne.Food hot buts all I can say positive.I was sitting in a chair which had sunk moved to bench side all leather on seat peeling.Six flies not allowing us to eat in peace.Peas on scampi massive and hard seen smaller Brussel sprouts scampi tiny and very bland.Lasagne was dry as sticks no tomatoes sauce inside.Looked like it had been heated 6 times at least very discoloured. No garlic bread came when challenged told it had been withdrawn because of quality issues.Pity the rest of the food hadn't been withdrawn.I can say I was offered something else but did not have the time.Gave me salad on plate which was not on description smothered in dressing which ran over chips.Do not go there.Dont waste your money

Family, friendly pub - Edit
Happened to be in the area so we popped in for lunch.
Read moreLike most Farmhouse Inns, it is a very family, friendly orientated, with a small selection of clearly labelled vegan options.
Sadly, they do not do omni fish and chips anymore, so instead I got the roasted root vegetable pie, which had a lovely butternut squash, sweet potato and beetroot filling, but the pastry was a little tough in places, as it must have been heated up. I also had to request oven chips, as 'chips' were not vegan 🤦♂️.
They also have some vegan options on the kids menu, which during half term is only £1 with an adult meal.
Location wise, it's on the outskirts of Sunderland, but there is ample parking, outside seating and a playground for kids.
