Serves meat, vegan options available. Open space dining that offers a few vegan choices, including quinoa cereal with soy or almond milk, potatoes, kale salad. The veggie nut burger could be made in a lettuce wrap instead of with buns, without the chevre cheese, and with the no-cheese pesto batch). Often times there is a vegetarian or vegan soup of the day - call ahead to check. Sunday is brunch. Maintains an onsite vegetable garden. Open Mon-Sun 9:00am-3:00pm.

Ok

Very limited vegan options. No matter what you order, you’re going to need hot sauce, because it was quite bland. It’s an ok choice if there’s nothing else vegan. But I wouldn’t go again. And the nut burger is really bad. Also, there was a little bit of bacon in our food.

Pros: Has 1-2 vegan options

Cons: Bland , Limited vegan options , Meat cross contaminated our food

Cute and flavorful

Great atmosphere. Fantastic vibe.

Veganized the breakfast burrito. Liked it a lot. Enough food to carry me thru lunch but not too much.

Service was great too.

The one vegan pastry I got to go and ate later was swell.

Pros: Food, Atmosphere

Accommodating staff and delicious vegan options

Our server was knowledgeable about vegan food and the menu options, and she helped me veganize the Farmhouse Scramble with pinto beans and green chile. I also had the Mayan Warrior with oat milk and a vegan raspberry almond bar that were incredible! The setting is also worth a visit, with gorgeous native plants and mountain views. Will definitely return!

Best pinto beans ever!

I got the huevos rancheros and not only was it a generous, filling portion but the pinto beans were also the best I've ever had! They have lots of GF options, too. Even though we had to wait, the food was worth it

Worth a try

Visited for breakfast and they could use more vegetarian/vegan options (like everywhere in Taos area), but the quinoa porridge was excellent. Atmosphere is nice and the staff and service was very good. I just don't recommend going into the clothing store next door.

It’s fresh and well made, but needed seasoning

Everything was good but there was so little seasoning. Luckily the salt and cholula on the table helped out. There’s plenty of options and the staff was quick to know how to veganize their menu.

Pros: Plenty of options, Knowledgeable staff

Cons: Bland

The Mayan Hot Coffee is a Must!

Vegan friendly. Friendly all around. Great service, excellent organic farm to table food. We loved this place. Will go back again and again.

Vegan big breakfast

A great vegan big breakfast. Edit the ‘zia’ breakfast remove egg and they will add potato and beans at no cost. Also get the home made sourdough as a side!
Ate here twice - also have a veggie burger on the menu.

Pros: Accommodating to edit menu , Add on potato’s and beans at no extra cost , Sunny Outdoor seating

Adorable atmosphere

The outdoor patio is surrounded by lush greens, wind ornaments, and a nearby pond with fish, frogs, and flowers. There are a handful of vegan options; one of the breakfast items can be made vegan if you let the server know. My only complaint was that the service was quite slow and my boyfriend’s order came out wrong, however it was fixed with no questions asked.

Pros: Several vegan options, Yummy food, Excellent patio

Cons: Slow service

Most delicious vegan options

What a pleasure! Have the vegan curried squash pie if available. So unusual and fabulous! 2nd option would be the portbella sandwich with vegan pesto. They had a vegan dessert item although I did not try it.

Good burger and dessert!

I’ve driven by this place dozens of times and never knew it was there hidden behind the Overland Sheepskin Company! The ambience is lovely, lots of local art, and a patio that would be wonderful in warmer weather. There were four options on the lunch/dinner menu that were vegan or could be made vegan. I had the nut and seed burger (without cheese and with vegan pesto) that was quite delicious if a bit crumbly. There were also a couple of vegan dessert options, a cookie and fudge. I had both because I was starving after a day of skiing and both were great! Would stop here again- there was a vegan curried squash pie on the menu that I definitely want to try!

delicious & vegan-friendly

This restaurant has a really great philosophy & mission -- it's all locally-sourced, organic and fresh; AND they prepare over 500 organic school meals daily and offer garden-education programs in partnership with local schools.
If the weather is nice be sure to sit out on the patio amidst the flowers, creek and mountain views.
The menu is mostly non-veg but there are some great vegan options (or things that can be easily tweaked to be vegan, which they're glad to do). The veggie-nut burger and kale salad are highlights. Highly Recommended!!

Pros: beautiful setting, great mission , flexible menu

Cons: not many vegan options

vegan friendly

Tasty and fresh with a few options. Be sure to specify you are vegan if it is not specifically vegan and you are tweaking something on the menu. I got the Zina breakfast without eggs and they had a vegan pesto to replace the nonvegan pesto. I also added corn tortillas to it. It was delicious.
