Rimskata stena market - Edit

If you are vegan do not expect to buy a lot of vegan products. There is lack of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Sells mostly meat, dairy products and honey.
Vegan options are mostly cooked food - cakes, biscuits and other sweet things, some raw options too, jams, pickles, herbs and small amount of fresh fruits and veggies.
Works only saturday till 14.00.

Mrnatural 20 Mar 2017 - I was there the last two Saturdays and whole you may be partly right in that on the way in to the market, there's only conventional BG stands, you're absolutely dead wrong about the lack of fresh produce.

Please understand that this is a local farmer's market that sells what's in season. Please make sure that you understand the concept of a farmer's market. It's locally grown produce from local farmers. If you want imported produce that's not in season, do not visit this market.

I am there at 12 a.m. and it's full of real organic produce. Loving hut even has its own stand there, and there are a number of others as well, so I'm not sure if you found the actual farmer's market, which is after a short length of stands with Bulgarin domestic and Greek/Turkish imported produce, typical low quality Bulgarian meats and dairy products, not to mention the dreaded honey in big plastic jars.

Obviously you would get a different selection in the bio department at Billa, Kaufland, BioMag and Bio Balev, for ex, which import and resell. This is if you want fresh and locally grown, which means you're limited to what's in season.
