Very good organic food from the farm - Edit

Amazing offer of fresh vegetables, organically produced locally by farmers. Happy to find tomatoes that taste and eggs of the day. I found excellent organic oil from Palestina, olives from Greece and many specialities from those countries and Emirates. The place is open air in winter and it looks very nice and clean. They told me that in summer they move indoor in another area of Dubai. From April is better check it on the website

Pros: place / environment , products

The only true Farmer's Market in the city - Edit

Some might compare the Farmers Maket on the Terrace with some other (good) initiatives that go on in Dubai, however it is not the same.
This is the only true farmers market, where you are dealing with the farmers themselves who come from around DubAi to sell their organic produce. An organic market, like Ripe, is a different thing (starting with the prices...).
The prices at the farmers market are increadibily cheap when compared with all the other organic places in Dubai.
There is also a Seed Swap stand once a month, where you can bring your own plants/seeds and swap it with other people.
A coffee stand, a juice stand and Baker & Spice make it possible to have breakfast there.
There are also plants for sale, honey, olive oil... Not too many fruits because i guess climate doesnt allow it - the vegetables however are incredible.
It is one of the only places in this city where i was able to see hints of a community bonding.

Pros: Price, Quality of food

Cons: Atm only inside the very small shopping area, not many fruits for sale

Great new location, nice produce - Edit

I popped over to the Farmers' Market on the Terrace this morning. It's now in a new location, in Bay Avenue Park, right next to the Taj Hotel in Business Bay.
The market is smaller than Ripe (another farmers' market in Dubai) and it focuses more on produce and food than Ripe. There were about 10 or so stalls, all with great fresh local produce. There's also a Baker & Spice pop up restaurant selling fresh bread, and hot & cold breakfast items. The selection of vegan and vegetarian items on their stand could have been better, though.
Plus, there's a coffee stall.
The new location has plenty of parking and also has two playgrounds near by, so it makes for a nice morning out for families with younger kids.
Prices are overall very good: Sweet corn @ AED 15 per kilo, cherry tomatoes @ AED 15 per kilo, and farmer's bread @ AED 10 each.

Pros: Has a nice small market feel, Plenty of fresh local produce, Great coffee stall

Cons: Limited vegan breakfast options, Location tricky to find for 1st timers
