Fresh local food & homemade kombucha! - Edit
After a week of road tripping I was craving whole foods and this place delivered! I loved trying food that was grown locally. I had the farmer’s breakfast plough thru with tofu. Everything tasted so fresh. The meal was satisfying. The tempeh bacon was so good!
Read moreThe only downside was I’m pretty sure they used dairy butter on the toast. I had asked about what vegan options they had when ordering, and ordered the plough thru with tofu instead of eggs, so that was odd. **(11/22/25 edit: owner clarified it is in fact vegan butter! Thanks Amy!)
It’s super cool that you can order a flight of their homemade kombucha. We did and got to try 4 flavors, and they let me throw ginger beer in there too. It’s definitely strong. As my boyfriend said, it’s kombucha made for kombucha lovers. He loved it but it was too strong for me. I did enjoy the blueberry lavender flavor though, it was sweeter and lighter.

Hi there - thanks so much for visiting our little vegetarian/vegan cafe! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your food - and just wanted to clarify we only have vegan butter in our kitchen. The entire menu is actually vegan (we use only vegan butter, plant-based milk and vegan mayo), so all of our sauces are vegan too. We do have eggs and cheese for those who request it though. Thanks again for leaving us a review! Happy travels! - Amy (owner) at Farmacy+Fermentary

Quality fresh ingredients - Edit
We ordered french toast, tempeh bacon, roasted vegetables, and a breakfast sandwich with a tofu omelet instead of eggs. The breakfast sandwich was small but very flavorful and the greens were fresh. The french toast was delicious, if maybe a little over-cooked. It wasn’t the best restaurant we’ve ever been to, but we were all happy with our food.

I thoroughly enjoyed dropping in! Michael helped me to choose a flavour of kombucha, his service was great and I really enjoyed our conversation. This was on my list of must-see places to visit in PEI and I’m so glad I stopped in on my road trip from Ontario.

Fantastic Place - Edit
What an amazing place. Delicious vegan food, loads of options, tasty homemade pickled products. Cozy little restaurant with lots of stuff to take out, some pre made options. The vegan breakfast burrito was outstanding, as was the Dragon Bowl. Overall great and we'll be back when on PEI.

A wonderful find - Edit
All vegetarian, and everything to be made vegan. Focuses on fermented foods, like sauerkraut and kimchi, and uses farm grown products to make delicious meals. Mostly sandwiches and wraps, and veggie bowls made with noodles or savory oats. A little farther away from the main tourist areas. This was a great find!

Fermented favourite - Edit
Great farm to table with lots of veg and vegan options. The beet salad was massive and delicious. The charcuterie plate allowed us to explore their many fascinating, flavourful fermentations. Local kombucha was also tasty and not overly sweet. The kimchi nut cheese was a revelation, and I don’t normally get excited about vegan cheese.
Read moreThe owners also runs farm and are pillars of the community. Highly recommended. Truly local vegan cuisine that you won’t find anywhere else. A rarity anywhere and a unique culinary experience. NB: very friendly staff, but not particularly fast so don’t arrive in a hurry.

AMAZEBALLS! Clean and fabulous eating. Period. - Edit
Had an excellent meal and conversation here recently and will most certainly come again! The food was brilliantly prepared, mouthgasms galore!!! My mother and i came and shared a few dishes and two kinds of kombucha (thanks for answering my questions about this topic ;)). We enJOYed the Tempeh Reuben sandwich, the kale salad, the Bean Burrito, and the greens salad...all were so creatively created. I am such a food snob...I love clean food and well prepared gourmet...this meal checked so many things off my list for eating out. BRILLIANT and will highly recommend to clients and friends as well.

Delicious, Healthy, and Local - Edit
My favorite veggie spot in Charlottetown! The perfect place for a delicious, hearty and healthy meal made with local food! Every single bowl or sandwich I've had there has been amazing. Their grain bowls in particular are awesome. They have a great kombucha selection and a few other drinks options. They also sell a ton of Heartbeat Organics products, all of which are amazing, along with a bunch of other local stuff.
