This is a beautiful, safe haven for farmed animals in Acton, California. The volunteers and caregivers are fantastic. The animals are well attended and receive so much love. I was super fond of beautiful Cowboy and his gorgeous horns.
It helps to remain vegan when you can put a face to what industrial farming want you to continue to eat as food. Like us, these furry friends have two eyes, two ears, a nose, a mouth. Like us they have a personality. The Farm Sanctuary provides a great opportunity to meet rescued farm animals and here their stories. They incourage a plant-based diet and employees have to be vegan to work there.
For a small fee, you can take a tour of the facility. They give weekly tours and host vegan events throughout the year.
