Limited Vegan Options at OAK Airport Cafe

Traditional cafe, a few steps away from Tay Ho Oakland Vietnamese Sandwiches Soups and Bowls (unsure if they have plant-based options). Offering two self ordering kiosks or personnel to take orders, it has a clean layout, but I saw they have an up charge for ALT milks, $0.90. Yikes?

I don’t do early breakfast but this place would work in a pinch. I’d try their avocado toast maybe. Spendy because it’s the airport.

NOTE: I skipped it this time, nothing looked super tempting.

Pros: Vegan Options (may need modifications), Near TSA Entrance for Southwest

Cons: Not Fully Vegan/Plant-Based (Up Charges), Spendy (Airport Pricing of Course), Modifications Needed to Make Items Vegan

Basic Bagel in a Pinch

Standard cafe located in Southwest Terminal 2 by Gate 24 that serves up coffee, bagels, and pastries.

I got an Everything Bagel with Hummus ($6) and while toasted, the bagel was incredibly chewy and became hard very quickly. I liked having the hummus spread on the side so you can control how much to have, but the bagel itself was very much mediocre.

If you’re desperate for an overpriced bagel, then this is for you. Otherwise I’d skip it and wait til you can get something else after landing.

Pros: Offers Oat Milk
