Serves meat, vegan options available. Walk-up Israeli restaurant/kiosk with separate vegetarian and grill (meat) sides and covered sit-down area with plenty of tables. Almost all the choices on the vegetarian side are or can be made vegan, including the classic hummus plate, falafel and masabacha. So popular there's always a long line on the vegetarian side. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-10:00pm.

Best falafel in the Bay - Edit
The quality of the food from Falafel Stop is really good: the falafels are a significant step above Falafel Drive-in and especially Oren’s.
Read moreThe vegan food is prepared at a separate counter from the meat. During the lunch rush, sometimes the owner will walk around with a plate of falafels to hand out to folks waiting in line. Weekdays at lunch get busy: there’s a high school across the street. Parking can get tricky, especially because the owner seems to have a thing for antique cars and sometimes parks his Cybertruck across a few spots when he’s around.
Since they enclosed the patio seating, it’s a bit nicer (no fending off pigeons) but the ambiance is still pretty lacking. It’s right next to a 10-lane highway and can get pretty hot during the summer.
But the food is great. My favorite is to order the falafel salad with three extra pita (one comes with it) and then you can make 4 falafels for the cost of 2. Make sure to get medium spice and the peppers if you can tolerate some heat.
The fries are very hit or miss, for some reason. Sometimes they’re nice and crispy with a pleasant seasoning. But often they’re only salted and feel soggy. Not sure why.
You order inside and then take your receipt to another line to the right for them to make the food.
For some reason, ordering via DoorDash in the evenings gets you a little crispy cauliflower on the falafel salad? Not bad but strange. Also weird is the cafe that seems abandoned next door. I guess that didn’t work out for them or was just too confusing.
Pros: Falafels and Israeli food is great, Meat prepared separately, Great price
Cons: Ambiance is not good, Parking is tricky

Best Falafel in Bay Area - Edit
Amazing crispy falafel and creamy hummus with many flavorful salad toppings in a plate or pita. Separate vegetarian counter, but not all toppings are vegan so be sure to specify when ordering

Love the falafel plates - Edit
There is a whole vegetarian side of the restaurant with a separate line where you can ask for a diversity of ingredients to top falafel plates, Israeli salad, and Sabich. Authentic Israeli food. Tastiest falafel in South Bay and a nice semi-outdoor place to sit.

This is the best falafel in the Bay Area. They make it just like it's done in Israel and their pita bread is amazing.

Wow Amazing - Edit
Super Delicious, Super Affordable.
Read moreThis was amazingly delicious. We really enjoyed our plate. We love that there were so many options on our plate.
The baba ganoush was amazing!! I don't even like baba ganoush but this was my favorite item here! Wow amazing flavor.
The pita was really nice also. It was nice and moist.
Falafel Salad: Great deal, delicious food. When you order they ask you if you want it spicy or not. We got one with spice ans one without. It's the same price.
The falafels were fresh, I watched them fry them right before putting them on the plate. The falafels were fresh but not my favorite. They weren't very flavorful. I prefer the falafels at CAVA. I haven't seen a CAVA in the area.
The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful even though it wasn't busy when I ordered.
The ordering was a bit confusing. You go to the middle to order then hand the tickets under the window.
Parking: there were about 10 spots. It was a pretty slow time so I found a spot, but can imagine it might be an issue if it was busy.
