tasty, not too oily - Edit

Falafel avenue does what it says on the tin. Tasty falafels, not too oily. Vegans note: there are three types of falafel on offer here and only two of them are vegan (one has cheese). I liked the "green," which contains herbs. Very friendly service.

Good inexpensive food - Edit

First of all: the only non-vegan ingredient is the cheese that is proposed separately, so if you're a vegan you can eat anything you want (sauces, falafels, etc).

The food was tasty and nutritous.

The only con I could say is the menu I found a bit confusing since you need to choose separately the bread, the falafels and the sauce. But I guess this allows some creativity!

Pros: Inexpensive, Good food, Almost everything is vegan

Cons: Menu a bit confusing

Falafel And Its Allies - Edit

You can get like four kinds of falafel, a whole bunch of types of sauces, and a wide variety of veggies that goes far beyond the usual lettuce/tomato/parsley/pink turnips options. For when you definitely want falafel but also want it to be slightly different from the last eight times you got falafel. Which, if you're a broke vegan near McGill, probably happens a lot.

Pros: Is Falafel

Fast-food, fresh, kinda healthy and delicious - Edit

Everything on the menu is vegan except for the cheese-filled falafels and the mayo for the fries.

The restaurant is spotless and the atmosphere is very pleasant. As for the food, it is AS GOOD as what you would get at other Lebanese restaurants, but less greasy. So, it's worth it, and you don't have to stare at meat or smell it when you eat.

The staff is also extremely friendly.

Pros: Great location, Nice vibe, Good value

Great new place - Edit

A new place in the heart of downtown that is worth trying out! Healthy baked crispy on the outside/fluffy on the inside falafels of different kinds, which can be eaten with a salad, in various sandwiches, or even alone paired with multiple home-made tahini sauces.
The staff is very attentive and friendly, almost family-like. Do not hesitate to ask them for an advice!
In addition to very friendly prices, Falafel Avenue won my heart :) I really hope they maintain their quality since opening and grow into one beautiful vegetarian franchise.
