okay - Edit
I found out about this place opening from happycow, and stopped in for lunch a handful of times. Here's my Fala Bar Venice review.
This little joint is a good spot to get an inexpensive and flavorful vegan bite while in Venice on trendy and somewhat expensive shopping street Abbot Kinney.
I've tried the pumpkin-falafel pita sandwich and kale burger. The pita sandwich was good, especially with the pumpkin falafel balls which had a sweet taste. The kale burger features a falafel in patty style and was full of flavor though saltier and heavier than I like. Both came in fresh bread which added to overall satisfaction. I recommend the pumpkin falafel.
I've also had the brussel sprouts side dish and another appetizer which was a spicy falafel in dressing (forgot the name).
Suggestion for improvement: it needs to simplify its menu for the cooks to make the food quicker. All 3 times I had to wait a long time for my food.
Pros: simple, cheap
Cons: sometime long wait

So Delicious & Well Priced - Edit
Best, most cost effective meal money can buy especially for LA. The salads are mega and satisfying. The burgs are remarkable. Highly recommended.
Pros: cheap, great hours, SOOOO tasty

Delicious gem - Edit
The food is absolutely delicious!
They have different flavors of falafels, and the sweet potato kind is my favorite, either on the sandwich or the plate.
I'm also a huge fan of the Avocado Burger, it's a sweet potato patty with red lentils, a bit different from the sweet potato falafel--and it comes with an avocado!
If you're not feeling like a sandwich, their Mexican Bowl is delicious, although the taco mix is a bit spicy, so if you're a wuss like me, tread carefully haha.
The prices are very reasonable--$8 for a sandwich--which is unbelievable given that it's located on an overpriced hip shopping street.
Pros: delicious food, great prices, lots of options on the menu
Cons: parking :(, very small space

Good Sandwiches / Better Salads - Edit
I was here opening day, and have eaten at the restaurant in the other location. I like their falafel and sandwiches, but I prefer their salads. I ordered the pumpkin falafel and a kale burger this time around. both were tasty, but I preferred the pumpkin falafel.
It is great to have a an inexpensive restaurant in this trendy area of town.
Pros: inexpensive in a trendy area

Outstanding falafels and more - Edit
I'm totally stoked to have this new place in the area. They offer a quick and affordable option to the area which is quickly becoming a veg center of L.A.. I tried the kale burger and also a sweet potato falafel. Both were very tasty and seemed to be made with very freshly baked bread.
Pros: falafels, fresh, flavors
