They have a vegan burger (actually, they serve two burgers) in both the sandwich in bolo do caco, and on the plate.
Read moreBeware to ask without butter if you ask for the sandwich version.
Tomato and onion soup is also really good. Served with poached egg, ask without if vegan. Otherwise, really worth it for a nice vegan option in this region of the island!

Ordered the “Vegan Burger (tomato and lettuce)” and it came with COW BUTTER on the bun, so I had to send it back to the kitchen. When it came back without butter, it was quite underwhelming. Still, nice place with lot's of locals and I mean at least they tried.

The Vegetarian Butcher at a mountain in Madeira - Edit
Snack-Bar Faísca has only one vegan option and that is the burger of The Vegetarian Butcher. It is served on a local bread called bolo do caco. As simple as it is - and it was the only option - I had a good breakfast.

Come-se bem. Hamburguer no prsto agora também é beyond meat. Sopa de tomate bem boa se e vegab se não vier com ovo. Gente simpática também. Mas é obvio que precisam de contratar mais gente para trabalhar, ambas as vezes que fui estava cheio e demorou cerca de 2 horas pra comer.
