Pretty yummy cupcakes, super friendly staff!

I’ve only ever had the chance to have their cupcakes, which come in a variety of different flavours. The icing is good, it’s not overly sweet and tooth aching. And the cake itself is nice and moist. Whenever I walk by, I like to pop in for a treat!

Pros: Everything is vegan!, Lots of options, Friendly staff

Cons: Won’t blow your mind

Magical!!

Scrumptious treats! Cupcakes, cookies, cheesecakes, bars and more. The cherry cheesecake was the best vegan cheesecake I’ve ever had! Definitely will be back!

Pros: All vegan

My sweet tooth hubs loved the cupcakes

I personally don’t have a sweet tooth but my husband does and his review which I’m posting for him is “The gluten-free cupcakes were good! “. I had a smaller dessert which wasn’t too sweet (to me that’s a good thing). It’s an all-Ⓥ bakery with beautiful creations, colorful display case, all organic (hence the cost difference) and gluten-free options. That’s worth the visit right there. Support! #Veganuary

Average

I want to love this place as it’s an all vegan bakery but am disappointed each visit. Guests enjoyed the variety of unique cupcake flavors on offer (such as root beer) but the slices and other small treats were average and the peach cheesecake did not hit the mark at all.

not great

I’m not sure how to review this place without coming off as mean, but everything here is pretty disappointment. The sweets we got weren’t sweet, and essentially tasted like baked flour. We got two different things, a cookie and a bar and they both didn’t taste like anything. Wouldn’t recommend.

So sorry, but not good

I tried several things and got so disappointed. The chocolate chips cookie and the chocolate chips and marshmallows cookie were tasteless. Really tasteless. The peach cheesecake just peach (good peach though) but not even similar to a real cheesecake. I sometimes make vegan cheesecakes home, and I expect a bakery to be better than my humble efforts. I was SO sorry and disappointed. I had also small cookies with chocolate, not bad, not memorable. I do not recommend this place, you can find way better vegan sweets in other places in Vancouver.

They were fine just average though

We were going to nice shoes so we called in here and had a cheesecake and a slice. Both were nice but not fantastic. The person at the counter seemed very nice. Their cakes were well labelled.

Quality has gotten better than when first opened

I actually tried a cupcake soon after Fairy Cakes opened years ago, and noticed it seemed sort of dry and just ok. However, in the past two years I've noticed a serious uptick in taste and quality, so I'd recommend this place to anyone now! Great flavours, pretty cupcakes, and I've enjoyed their cheesecakes and cookies too. Owner is super friendly.

Okay

SO EXPENSIVE!!!!

Over $4 for a dinky cupcake that tastes like the ones I make at home for that much for half a dozen. I live so close and it bums me out that they aren't more affordable.

Had a vegan one on Commercial yesterday that was awesome and $2.50.

Won't be going back.

Pros: VEGAN, MOSTLY ORGANIC

Cons: EXPENSIVE, EXPENSIVE, NOTHING SPECIAL

Yummy Cupcakes!

This place has really good vegan cupcakes, with mini cupcakes in the same flavours as well. They have one savory cupcake that is cheese and ham flavoured which is really good too. My favourite flavour is the raspberry icing on top of the vanilla cupcake. They also have cool flavours like root beer, which I haven't tried yet.
