Fairuz

This restaurant has vegan options labelled correctly and has 20 plus vegan options from cold to hot food and side dishes. We will be returning to this restaurant.

I had:
- Fatayir for starters (baked pastry with spinach, onion & pomegranate)and

- Okra for main (cooked with tomato, olive oil, coriander & garlic with rice

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Labelled correctly, Great view

Cons: More expensive than other places

Food was okay, but definetly not worth the money. The made us pay almost 50€ for just a few small plates of food. In my opinion it wasn’t even worth 10% of the price we paid.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Super expensive

Loved it!

Had a really great meal here, and was so grateful to see the word vegan on the menu. Glad they know the difference between vegan and vegetarian, not a common site here. They offer a prefix dinner which you can do vegetarian, probably vegan. But we ordered off the menu. I had the moussaka which was delicious. But really the highlight was the pita bread which I saw them making fresh in a brick oven. It looked so delicious, and I must’ve been staring, so they gave me a free one. Provably to stop me from drooling. And it was so so good when dipped into the hummus.

Avoid! They don't understand vegan and is very expensive

Sharm is not great for vegans. With this place being the only one listed on Happy Cow, and arriving in Sharm quite hungry, we headed here. We noticed the high prices from the beginning but thought the serves must be quite big and the quality high. We were wrong. For $21 USD (NOT including the 26% tax added at the end!) we paid for a plate of very simple dips and salad. And not a huge amount either. Even in Australia I've never paid this much for such simple food. This place simply takes advantage of tourists, but that ain't all.

We specifically told them what we didn't eat so we wouldn't accidentally get dairy. No yogurt, no cheese etc. They spoke English well and seemed to understand but on the dips platter, two items were dairy! They took the platter back, simply scooped out the dairy and wiped it roughly with a paper towel or something because there were still traces of it when they returned it with very cheap alternatives of a green salad and olives. We also got upset stomachs which we think are from the spinach samosas even though they said there was no dairy in them too, so avoid those because the pastry was probably made with butter instead of oil.

$47 for two people in Egypt for a few dips, salad, bread, falafel, and samosas is outrageous. Never felt more ripped off at a restaurant in my life as I have here. Avoid. They don't deserve your money.

Some Great Lebanese Food!

With the limited options in Sharm, we ended up going here twice, and very glad we did! So many options here, so don't hesitate to visit :)

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Some vegan options

A few options listed under vegetarian, such as falafel, hummus, several salads, zattar and others. Not for those who are on a budget. Much cleaner and better ingredients than the usual falafel places in Egypt. I ate there twice while in Sharm.

Pros: Tasty good. Good service. Ingredients are listed, under each dish.

Cons: More vegan options, price.
