A few vegan options, but overpriced

Feb 2023 update: I was disappointed to see that there are much fewer vegan options compared to the last time I stayed here 3 years ago (before the pandemic). However, it is still manageable to eat here as a vegan and the staff try their best to cater to your dietary requirements.

The breakfast buffet costs 33$ per person. Vegan options include oatmeal (made with water), cold cereals, several varieties of bread, jams, and fruits. Oat milk is available for coffee. Vegan yogurt is available upon request at no extra charge.

I would not recommend the dinner buffet (68$) as there are vegan options except salads. I ordered the vegan risotto (34$) and seasonal vegetables (specify no butter) (10$) for room service. The risotto was tasty and filling, came in a decently large portion, and even had a delicious vegan aioli topping. Another option would be spaghetti with marinara sauce (specify no cheese) (21$).

5 stars! Absolutely Amazing!

Would give it 5 stars if Happy Cow would let me. The main restaurant has a full vegan menu that includes a couple appetizer and main course options. I had the kale salad and risotto with tofu and both were delicious.

For the buffet brunch, there are very few options (oatmeal and fruit). The chef (Chef Richard) greeted us and made us tofu scramble with potatoes and vegetables. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in awhile. Wow!

Pros: Full vegan menu, Accommodating staff and chef, Delicious food

Cons: Pricey

Terrible for Vegans

The restaurant is not vegetarian but they have a separate vegan menu. We started with the appetizer. It was described as almond and cashew vegetal cheese plate, dark cocoa, and date crumble for $15. When it came it was not vegan! It was a real cheese platter with grapes and crackers. - no cocoa and no date crumble. I told the waitress and she said she would check the menu. We waited a long time and then she came back and gave us a dish of cashews!! Then our meals came. One meal had been described as sautéed rice noodles with tofu and basil. It came as large noodles with tomato sauce and cheese on top. The other entree was a squash and chickpea cake over a root vegetable ragout. It really didn't taste like chickpeas but seemed to match the description- I question if it was really vegan.....
The entrees were $36 each! They were both fair at best.
The woman packed up our cheese plate and said the chef said the platter was vegetarian and they must have changed the menu.
We made the decision not to get into a discussion about what vegan means as their primary language was French and it just wasn’t worth the energy.
Obviously whoever wrote the vegan menu wasn’t working and didn’t pass the info on to anyone else. Perhaps no one has ordered it before as obviously they didn’t have any cashew cheese around.
The only positive thing was the view of the water.
With tax and tip, it was over $120 without drinks or dessert - for two of us. We are definitely never going back.
It reminds me of when we would go out to dinner 20 years ago and the term vegan was unknown and everything vegetarian was smothered in cheese.
