Peccato

Peccato che abbia chiuso perché era davvero fantastico potersi sedere a studiare e lavorare bevendo o mangiando di qualità!

Great coffee

I had a soy cappuccino and it was great. They have some vegan dishes as well.

Pros: Yum

More options & less waste

I arrived in Turin and found EXKI around the corner of my hotel. I was looking for a warm hearty meal, however they use communal microwaves to heat up the food, which we know destroys the nutrients and has negative effects on our health. So I opted for a salad which was lovely and flavoursome. However, I would have loved to see more options for vegans.

When I paid I received a plastic fork wrapped in plastic. To me, this is unnecessary waste and I’d love to have seen wooden or compostable cutlery & packaging used especially if you opt to eat in.

The vibe is really nice and the staff super friendly. I reckon it’s great for a quick healthy salad or snack. With a few more vegan options, an oven to heat the food and more environmentally friendly packaging & cutlery I would give it a higher rating.

Pros: Delicious salads, Lovely staff, Great vibe

Cons: More vegan options, Microwave to heat up, Plastic packaging & cutlery

A little lacklustre

We just finished eating here. I’m staying around the corner whilst filming. I needed to find a place for our large brood to eat so naturally I looked up Happy Cow and found this spot. We were excited to try it out.

I was left a little disappointed by the quality of food. It was a bit inconsistent. There were no options for kids. So my children just had plain brown rice & a carrot salad. They were bummed and asked to find vegan burgers!

The salads I ate were okay but honestly the vegan options were lacking and I was looking for something heartier. My quinoa and red bean bowl would’ve been lovely heated up. I asked about this option. They don’t do that but have a communal microwave for customers to use which feels very behind the times as we all know the downfalls of microwave use for our health. They also utilise tons of plastic, the cutlery was plastic wrapped IN plastic and the containers too were plastic. For a place that promotes itself as a conscious eatery this aspect was puzzling.

We had 2 nice juices. The pineapple/mint//ginger one. We all loved that and the carrot salad was tasty too. I added an extra star because I really appreciate the effort they put in to making the place a kid friendly environment to eat (sans the fact they didn’t offer food selection for kids...?!) there was a small table set up with kids toys, activities and books which is always so welcomed by me.

This place has HUGE potential. The vibe was great, a lovely big space, with tons of customers and good music. It was warm and inviting. It just needs more vegan options, a greater variety of foods, oven heated options, smoothies and a dedicated kids menu to coincide with their wonderful kids activity area.

Bland microwaved food, lots of plastic

Offers pre-made salads, sandwiches and dishes which can be heated up. I got a rice dish and a side, both of which were very bland and unexciting. Everything is in plastic, even the plastic cutlery is wrapped in plastic!

Pros: Staff are lovely and very helpful

Cons: Bland and expensive for what it is

lovely place to spend a couple hours

Didn't have food, but the hot chocolate powder is vegan and can be made with soy milk. It's one of those dark and thick Italian types. Comfy seating, restrooms and free wifi (although it wasn't working when I was there)
