Nice ambiance, poor selection

This is a small café and shop combined with a focus on organic and sustainable sourced food. Vegetarians have quite a few options, which are clearly marked with a green square, but I only found one broth, a couple of pre-packaged salads, and some dark chocolate bars which were suitable for vegans.

Pros: location

Cons: limited choice for vegans

Big

The place is large and rather quiet if you avoid lunchtime.
Now, it's getting embarrassing that exki still has no vegan pastries while everyone else has.

Pros: No extra fees for vegan milk , Reasonably comfortable , Ideal for working

Cons: No sweets

Quick & Clean

I got a nice organic soup and a matcha latte which were both rich in flavour.

Expensive and bland

We arrived around 15:00 when many other places nearby were shut. Arriving after the lunch rush meant that a lot of vegan options were sold out.

I had a large-looking salad bowl that was quite deceptive, very little filling and mostly leaves. The bowl was around €11 and a portion of pineapple with some pomegranate seeds was c €5.

Acceptable if you're in a pinch, close to a lot of nearby attractions, but not something I'd choose again. For anyone familiar, Pret has better portions for a smaller price.

All vegan options are clearly labelled and the ingredients are clear, although listed in French and Dutch. The branch is large with seating outside and in, accessible toilets too.

Pros: Lots of options, Clarity of labels

Cons: Expensive , Vegan options run out fast

An emprise into the vegan éclat.

A great place to rest weary legs after traipsing around the nearby museums. Note: this establishment was visited prior to the deordination of social distancing.

Exki

Several options to chose from, hot, cold, or pre packaged. At this location there is a choice to sit downstairs or up stairs. There are plenty of seats and room to sit. All the items have the ingredients listed, but they are in French and Dutch.

I had the pre packed rice, red beans, nuts, and a strawberry smoothie. It was really good and perfect for a mid afternoon snack.

Pros: Central, Nice atmosphere , Variety of food to chose

Less choices but good

I had a wrap with raw beet, carrot and coriander. It tasted real good. And a rhubarb crumble. They also have vegan milk for the coffee.

Pros: Tastes good

Cons: Less choices

Not so vegan friendly!

You can find Exki in many streets in Brussels, so we ate in different places, but in each of them the only vegan food we found was fruit, bread, mini salads and one or two soups of the day. Good for a snack in a nice place.

Pros: You can find Exki everywhere in Brussels, Good zucchini soup., Some organic food.

Cons: Lacks of vegan choices., Small portions.
