True to its name - Edit
We mostly ordered savoury snacks and got one pudding to share at the end as a dessert (coconut milk plus red bean). The turnip cake was really good, it came in three big pieces with hot sauce. We also got pieces of wheat gluten that were tasty, cold which was surprising but good! They were able to make vegan version of the fried tofu which was delicious and we also got a soy milk with boba in it. It was really fun to try lots of different stuff and everything was affordable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Note: CASH ONLY

Must-eat vegan snacks in Richmond! - Edit
This has been my favorite snack shop for 15 years. Their tofu desserts completely changed how I saw tofu. After living in China for years, I still have never had a tofu pudding silkier and fresher-tasting than theirs. The classic plain tofu pudding with ginger syrup is my fave, but the others are all delicious and special. They also sell delicious house-made soymilk and some other vegan snacks like braised seitan and radish cake that are definitely worth trying. The shop is very simple. They focus on what they do best and make everything from scratch. The prices are reasonable and the staff are happy to explain the dishes to you. I wish there were more places like this!

Tofu pudding - Edit
We tried two different varieties, red bean and peanut. They were just ok, tasted like plain soft tofu. The peanuts were canned soft peanuts (not what I was expecting).

Who knew tofu goes both ways - Edit
Excellent tofu is a great place for dessert after a delicious vegan Chinese dinner in Richmond (like at ji xiang!) The Puddings were light and unsweetened, and we added as much sweetener and ginger syrup on our own. It was the perfect way to end a fun food trip to Richmond!
