Great music and food - Edit
Accidentally found this place (wasn’t looking for food) and what a lovely vegan surprise! Absolutely love the food, Ethiopian coffee is interesting (never tried it before so i can’t tell how good/authentic it is, but I’d say it’s at the very least worth trying!)

Restaurant Review | Tribearth Vegan Café Diani Beach - Edit
This new independent vegan café at heart is a mix of Ethiopian food, Swahili snacks and healthy vegan biting.

With a Middle Eastern background, Sumer and her team at Tribearth have only been up and running a few months, but the bright, airy and vintage-artifacts filled space has already established itself as a Diani Beach favourite for vegans. An expansion Sumer, who has lived in Kenya for over a decade explains so joyfully as a childhood dream come true. She lights up explaining about the expansion as she serves us a bowl of specially crafted smoothie off the original menu. Having led several projects through her humanitarian work in Kenya, her ethos on sustainability, youth and women empowerment make for a great conversation.
With the right ingredients, baobab, coconut milk, moringa, chocolate, peanut butter, and mango deliciousness it is just a perfect meal in the bowl. The bowl parts you off with Kshs 700.
You cannot miss this spot. Located between Kaskazi Beach Resort and The Bazaar on Diani Beach Road (check out for the bamboo sign), Tribearth Vegan Café is an expansion of the Tribearth jewelry shop.
The space brims with exciting flavors as guests marvel on freshly roasted beans on site while the coffee is being prepared on the spot. The sweet scent of frankincense burning and fusing with the coffee aroma pushes you to miss anything meaty.
Lunch features Injera, Ethiopia’s revered staple which is offered here daily. Just like in Ethiopia where Injera is a way of life, many of the accompanying sauces are vegan. The Injera serves two and it will part you off with Kshs 1200. As you await your meal, you can indulge in the jewelry making process right at the workshop.
Pros: Lunch features Injera, Swahili snacks and healthy vegan bitings, The space brims with exciting flavors.

Delicious vegan food and great ethos - Edit
We were staying in self catered accommodation nearby and ate at Tribearth everyday! The Ethiopian platter is delicious, as well as the chipati roles with fake shawarma or tomato and avocado. They also have a giant veggie samosa and homemade potato chips which were good. The staff were so welcoming and made it feel like home for the week. The owner has a great ethos and drive to contribute to the local community.

chilliges, total nettes cafe in kenia, diani beach - Edit

This place is a gem. It has vegan food options that are very hard to come by elsewhere, particularly a fully vegan Ethiopian mixed dish with shiro and brown injera, some excellent vegan pastries, as well as some great unique drinks options (the miraa/khat based Jabba Juice is wonderful).

Get ready for a healing experience and some great vegan food - Edit
If you are into alternative-medicine practices, art, and jewelry, this is the place for you.
Read moreThe second I walked in I felt a calming sensation. A sense of peace came over me. To your left are beautiful semiprecious stones, crystals and jewelry and to your right a display case full of vegan snacks and a menu of vegan smoothie bowls and a reasonably priced Ethiopian platter. The platter consists of seven different vegan Ethiopian dishes atop injera. My wife and I brought our appetites and ordered two of the two person Ethiopian meals. My kiddos loved the experience. All three love eating Ethiopian food and loved that they could end their meal with vegan brownies and cinnamon rolls.
Your meal is enjoyed in the midst of the TribeARTh jewelry collection and the workshop where the pieces are manufactured is also onsite. The jewelers and shapers are local women that are given the chance to empower themselves through the affiliated NGO called LocalAid. The staff is wonderful, Adam was really great with answering all the questions the kids and I had.
If you are in Diani and need a vegan healing experience this is the place for you. Even if you’re not looking to expand your crystal collection, the platter is definitely worth stopping by for. It’s also a great place to enjoy a cup of Ethiopian coffee and popcorn, a smoothie bowl severed in an actual baobab bowl, or a delicious vegan dessert.
Stop by and let the food be thy medicine and let the healing powers of TribeARTh center you.
