Verwachting niet waargemaakt

Ik had hoge verwachtingen van dit restaurant. Eerlijk voedsel met duurzaamheid hoog in het vaandel!
Het aantal vegan opties bleek echter zeer, zeer beperkt. Daarnaast vond ik het eten ok, maar niet echt bijzonder.
Personeel is wel heel erg vriendelijk en het terras erg gezellig.

Pros: Personeel, Locatie, Duurzaamheid

Cons: Zeer weinig vegan opties , Eten niet uitstekend

heerlijk & vriendelijk

We werden fijn ontvangen. Lekkere koffie en heerlijke lunch. We kregen ook uitgebreid en gezellig antwoord op vragen over de kaart. Keuze uit vegan, vegetarische, duurzame/etische vlees gerechten. Dus ook leuk voor omni friends.

Een aanrader! Zeker met goed weer buiten met een lekker briesje langs de gracht. Leuke aankleding met veel planten!

Pros: ook leuke borrel en bier kaart

Very nice atmosphere, delicius food and great drinks. We came in for a beer, but couldnt resist to try some of the foods on the menu. This is my new to-go place in The Hague. Big compliment also to the staff, who where extremely helpful. Definitely coming back here.

Pros: Something for everyone: vega, vegan, etc

Great night out and superb dishes! A must to visit.

I had a wonderful night out. The locally used products and the minimal waste policy are great and I admire how far they take the concept.

The food, which is where it ultimately comes down to, is great. I have tremendously enjoyed the combination of flavours, such as my favorite, the "umami" flavour. I also met a new friend the kimchi-cheese bitterbal.

Last but not least, the staff is really friendly and sincere in their contact.

I can recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Pros: Local produced food, Superb and complex flavours, You can eat, meat, vegetarian and vegan.

Nice people, honoust delicious food.

Yesterday we had dinner at Ethica in the Hague. Ethica is a very charming place with wonderful atmosphere. Their food is all produced locally, and super fresh. Even though their food is not all vegan (a lot is), most of the animal ingrediënts are from "pest"animals. like non-local invasive lobster species and goose shot at the airport. I personally like this idea even though they are animals. (Otherwise they would just have been burnt by the poachers).

The dishes are all beautiful and taste great. Service is good and the owners are warm welcoming people with great ideas about responcible food.

Pros: Excellent food quality, Vegan, vegetarian and a few dishes with meat, Good atmosphere

Amazing Find on a Popular Canal Street

We attended a Jazz Festival a few weeks back, and noticed this restaurant on the corner of one of the side streets. The waitress we spoke to was quite nice, and told us about the concept of the restaurant to use organic, home-grown veggies, and healthy vegan options. So the other day, we ran in the restaurant to escape a rainstorm. We decided to just grab a drink while waiting the rain out. Well after a bit, I asked for the menu and was delighted to find really nice vegan/veggie options on the menu. We decided to get an appetizer, which was quite large, large enough to share. It was delicious and it was all vegan. A mix of tempeh with a tasty sauce, a couple of dumpling, sourdough bread with almond hummus, and some fresh veggies, with kimchi. Everything was delicious. Then we decided to try an entree. We chose the South Inidian style rice dish which was delicious and large enough to share...Then we chose the dessert of the day, which was a batter fried plantain dish, with cookie crumbles, lemon sorbet, and cashew cream. This dish did not disappoint either..simply delicious.

All in all, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant was clean and bright, with tomatoes and peppers, growing in pots on the window sills. Our server, who turned out to be the owner was extremely nice, and informative. And our overall experience was great. We will definitely return here in the future.

Pros: good food, Great service, nice vibe, fairly good portions, nice atmosphere

Cons: Just wish it was totally vegetarian...

This restaurant has changed tremendously since I wrote that review...There are a few vegan options, not many...and now the "Ethics" focuses on things like Wild Boar, and different Birds, and Fish. etc. And the prices have soared. Unfortunately, with so many options in the Netherlands, we won't be eating here again.

Truly a little gem

Delicious food for fair prices. Menu mostly (but not only) vegan/vegetarian. Super friendly owner. Explained to us that all the ingredients they use are home made, sustainable and/or from local farmers and suppliers. Great concept!
Also a great location. Especially the terrace if the weather is good enough to sit outside.

Pros: Concept, Tasty food, Choice in beers

Bijzondere lekkere gerechten

Nu twee keer gegeten bij Ethica. Beide keren verrast door de bijzondere gerechten. De kaart verandert ook regelmatig (2-3 maanden?) en heeft altijd volledige vegan opties erbij.

Pros: 2 vegan mains, starters and desserts
