So dissappointed - Edit
Great location. We were really happy to stumble upon this place. We are a vegan family of 4 and know most of the vegan spots. We have enjoyed Pebbles, but this wasn't even close to that. We were not greeted, we had to make sure it was even open, it all took forever and then the food was bland and awful. I want to go back and try again, but its tough when there are so many better vegan places in Oakland.

Vegan brunch & donuts - Edit
Eternal is the second iteration of Pepples Donut Farm—this time a nicer sit down place more focused on meals than baked goods. The brunch menu focuses on an array of tofu scrambles, which my omni friends found underwhelming (I tried both and enjoyed). But everybody tried and enjoyed my jackfruit burrito (which I ordered as a burrito because I’m GF). In fact, they were quite accommodating for gluten free; they labeled the dishes and had many option. Service was really friendly—although it took a little long to get the food, our server was very attentive. And the atmosphere was fun. I’ll def be back.

Cons: Too heavy a focus on tofu scrambles for brunch , No gf donuts yet!

Great food - Edit
This has the potential to be an awesome spot! The location is cool, the space is unique, the food is good and the people are friendly. However... the service is excruciatingly slow! If they can rectify that, I’ll update to 5 stars.

45 mn for a burrito... 🤔 - Edit
Just so you know what you're getting into: "Eternal" seems to refer to the wait to get your food 😅
Read moreI hate to give bad reviews to fully vegan restaurants but I had to wait 45 mn for a burrito and the place wasn't busy at all. When I asked the waiter if there was something wrong after 25 mn, the first thing he said was "if you want to cancel your order, it's fine". No apology, no smile... I think he meant well, but it was so unprofessional. Meanwhile, the other waitress was seating at the bar, on her phone...
I worked in restaurants for 7 years and I can tell you that if the food wasn't out after 15mn on a slow night I'd go check in the kitchen and give an update to customers before they even asked. If they had to wait more, I'd give them a free drink or at least an apology.
I'll give it another shot in a month and see if they got they [censored] together by then... Such a bummer. At this point I can't recommend this place to my friends 🥺
Pros: Pretty good food, Nice space , Friendly staff
Cons: Ridiculously slow kitchen, Completly amateurish waitstaff

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, and Eternal still had a nice selection of cake donut flavors. Took me a couple of minutes to choose two 🥺Yummy 🍩 🍩

Interminable wait - Edit
I was attending the Plant Based Nutrition in Health Care conference in Oakland in September 2019. I found Eternal on Happy Cow and walked to it from The Marriott.
Read moreThe menu had many Vegan offerings. The food that other people were served looked good. I ordered my meal. Then waited to be served for 45 minutes. I even waited 10 minutes more after I was told my food was just about ready. I have never previously left a restaurant without being served. I would have given 1 Star if I were permitted.
Pros: Many Vegan offerings
Cons: Wait Time

Worth the wait! - Edit
We had breakfast here and it took a while for our food to come, but once it did it was superb. Also there were no donuts until it was time to leave, and the waitress told us they didn't have raised donuts, only cake.
