A sad bowl - Edit
I had a connection in Miami on my way to and from the final destination. The first time I stopped at Estefan Kitchen Express they didn't have any of the vegan options, so I ended up eating a cold falafel wrap from Fig & Fennel. The second time, they had the veggie bowl available, but no beans. I was so hungry and tired that I got it anyway - I just needed food. Definitely not a good decision. It was such a sad bowl. Flavorless rice, soaking vegetables, sweet corn from a can... the only good thing was the plantain. Thankfully they didn't mess that up. But it was not worth it. The falafel wrap at least had flavor and protein, would go for it again next time. Giving 3 stars just because the airport is really not vegan-friendly and at least Estefan has options.

A stand out for vegan option at MIA - Edit
We came through MIA twice recently, and both times stopped at Estefan kitchen, Express. Their veggie bowl is vegan and it’s one of the most satisfying meals you will find, certainly in terminal D if not the entire airport.

Awesome option for airport food - Edit
We found this place during a connecting flight and decided to give it a try since the options in this airport are limited. We were happily surprised with our purchase (1 vegan flat bread and 1 veggie bowl) they were both tasty and the portions were generous. We recommend it and will make it our spot to visit when at the airport.

Good for an airport - Edit
My daughter and I had the veggie bowl and vegan flatbread. Quite good, if you keep airport expectations.

Stopped by for a quick dinner selection, got veggie bowl: black beans and rice and lots of veggies! No cheese or sauce just natural flavors.

High quality for airport option - Edit
The flatbread was made fresh so it took about 10 min or less. Super crispy with lots of vegan cheese. Very very high quality vegan option for an airport kiosk!

Clearly labeled menu options - Edit
Vegan flat bread, vegan burger, and a veggie wrap (not 100% sure if it comes vegan but definitely could be made vegan).
Read moreGot 2 vegan burgers and both loved them. Patty is essentially a veggie burger but was very crispy around the outside with good flavors. All packaging was also compostable. The burger didn't have vegan cheese on it but some sort of white mayo-like sauce. Could have used fries or something on the side but we asked and they don't serve any. Burger was filling and decent sized but coming off a long flight from another airport with no vegan options was wanting more.
Pros: Clearly labeled menu
Cons: Typical airport prices. $10-$12
