Even Mr Bumble would give this soup a swerve - Edit
Let’s start with the plus. The owner was lovely. The polenta fries were decent if unremarkable. Fries are fries. Difficult to mess them up. The potato salad was ok. Again, difficult to screw up. The “soup”, however was possibly the worst I’ve ever eaten. Thin, sour, watery, and just dreadful. Sorry, but soup is so difficult to get wrong, and this succeeded on every possible level. Just awful. I wish more of the menu was available, but most of it wasn’t.

AMAZING!!! - Edit
We got the fries and the tofu quiche. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned.. crispy and flavourful! The tofu quiche was absolutely delicious, and served with the perfect amount of cheese and relish garnish. The food was so good that I didn’t even think to photograph it before it was all gone! Everything served is vegan and gluten free!! The owner was really lovely too. We went for dinner after 8pm and the cafe space where you order is at the back of the shop. The shop is filled with all kinds of interesting things to look at! Jewellery, clothes, decor, homewares and more! The main space is open for people to gather and play games and hang out with a reading corner too. There is also seating out the front but it was a dark and rainy night so we just ran inside. Lol. 10/10 recommend this place.

Love the atmosphere, beautiful cafe & shop. I had the polenta fries which were amazing, will be getting the buckwheat pancakes next time. They smelt so good from across the table!

We had some delicious lunch here! We had the wraps and the pancakes, which were both scrumptious! The only all vegan spot in Takaka, so definitely check it out!
