I'm not sure what happened with Mr. Bland, maybe it was an off night. We live right around the corner so have been here many times and always come away happy. Although the menu of the day at Saludpan is more consistently incredibly awesome, the menu at EL is usually great and when it sounds a little lacking, they have great wok dishes to fall back on. The outdoor seating is cute and cozy and a little more separate from the sidewalk, so you don't get as many beggars as other places. They also have some good vegan household supplies there that I haven't seen anywhere else and excellent granola bars. I wouldn't call the place "dirty hippy" either, just because the owner has dreadlocks. It's just a cute restaurant with super friendly owners & staff. Maybe something a little more stylistically antiseptic like McDonalds would be more to that commenters liking.

el lugar es muy "vegano", plantas afuera, terraza de madera. Pero nada de eso importa cuando la comida es rica y con mucho sabor. Incluso fria sabría rica. Muy buen lugar.

Es muy bueno porque el lugar es 100% vegano y la comida es deliciosa, de los mejores lugares para almorzar y a un precio razonable.

La comida es una de las mejores que he probado, no he ido al sitio como tal, pero he almorzado varias veces con sus platos durante los mercados verdes del Jardín Botánico, quienes atienden son sumamente amables, no se puede pedir un mejor servicio.

The soup was bland and had a terrible texture, I had to waste it. Service was slow and forgetful. I ended up leaving hungry and went the awesome Vegan Italian restaurant nearby! Personally I am not keen on this place, but if you like the sort of dirty hippie vibe, then you might live it here :) Btw, they do have a pretty good selection of stuff in their minimarket...worth picking up a few staples.

I just start working one block away and it become my new daily lunch place. The menu is always one soup, one meal and desert. Every it is something different and it always taste so good!!!

I went here during the 7th Anniversary week & they had special pricing going on. The normal price for the meal of the day was 10.500 pesos when I went in mid-2015. They had outside seating with 3 tables, and then 5 more inside that I could see. The meal came with a choice of 2 different juices, then soup and the main plate with 5 different items and a fruit dessert. I went back a few days later and got 2 lunches to go. The first time I went the food choices were better, but I look forward to going again to try out more meals. The food was pretty good and I would go again. Someone there told me they kind of serve as a community center for vegetarians, and they have all sorts of presentations and get-togethers. I didn't have enough time to look into that, but I'll be back in 2016 to find out more!
