Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant within the Mercure hotel where the chef is willing to make vegan meals upon request. Could include vegan risotto with Napoli sauce and mushrooms, fresh salad with avocado, mango, tomato, pine nuts and roasted capsicum, roasted tomato and capsicum roquette salad over a romesco sauce, sweet potato and carrot purée with broccolini topped with an assortment of wild mushrooms. Open Mon-Sun 12:00pm-3:00pm, 6:00pm-9:00pm.

Vegan food inside a crocodile

There were a few vegetarian and vegan options on the menu at the restaurant inside the Mercure Hotel - the vegan mushroom risotto was simple but enjoyable. I would like to try the vegan pho next time. A bit pricey - but in line with the higher costs in Kakadu.

Decent Risotto

Their menu had vegan labels and the bruschetta as an entree was a large serve. Tomato was fresh and flavoursome. The vegan option for mains was a surprisingly good tomato based risotto with peas and chilli. I actually really enjoyed it and found it had a lot to it but I wouldn't eat it more than once. (E.g if you're staying there you don't have another option). They did have a few vegetarian options like a pizza and a halomi burger so might be able to change them out.
For the breakfast buffet I had to ask about options but the veg (mushroom and tomato) were cooked in oil so nice paired with beans and nice sourdough. The barista coffee (an extra $5) had almond or soy milk options.

Helpful chef, delicious large meals

Restaurant is within the Mercure Crocodile hotel, but anyone can go in. I let them know in advance that I was staying for 3 days and the chef kindly put provided a vegan menu of 4 dishes for me to choose from. My favourite was the sweet potato & carrot mash with broccolini & wild mushrooms, but everything I tried was great!
