Universally Convenient - Edit
Yes, you can buy vegan and vegetarian items such as soya milk, sausages and burgers at the two large Pingo Doce supermarkets in town but here at the Universal Herb Shop you will find a dedicated health food store selling a much wider range of products. Some prices can be a touch high but they often have special offers and price reductions. In this particular store just south off Praça da Republica on Rua Vasca da Gama all the food items are in the back room and not immediately obvious until you actually go in. Definitely worth a visit if you are either staying in or visiting the city and need some supplies for the hotel or wherever you are staying to prepare a meal for a BBQ etc (vegan mayo, burgers, marinated tofu, seitan and condiments etc). This place is 100% open and located in central Portimao.

Not in Alvor! - Edit
The map makes it look like this is in Alvor, a small beach town close to Portimao, but this is assuredly a mistake. The store is either closed or in Portimao as no such health food shop exists anywhere near the cesspool of hamburgers and bad Italian food known as Alvor!
