Delicious, not substantial - Edit
I like the small dishes, but the vegan options won’t provide much food to feel satisfied. Each dish was unique and delicious, but when the main dish doesn’t wow you… well, there was something missing.

Really good food just a bit mediocre presentation - Edit
We had a booked 6 meal vegan dinner (not listed in the menu, but possible to order). The food deliciousness and preparation is of highest level - no other comments, than just brilliant. The place is famous for telling some stories and teaching on history of local food. Which, to my mind, was partially good, but partially shallow and even ambiguous. For instance, the famous just two ingredient bread and beer soup was not served for us, because its not vegan!? It was made not vegan by boiling it in beef broth.. but this is a misinterpretation of the original 13-18th century recipe. Other than that, the served "vegan replacement" soup was great. Also, the sparkling tea as a non-alcoholic wine replacing drink was impressive. All in all - 10 for the food, and 7-8 for the context - to be improved.

Cons: Not fully factual and deep enough story telling, Seemed like an attitude to vegan food as inferior, No choices for the menu (this is not a real cons)

Great service and super tasty and sophisticated vegan dinner - Edit
The restaurants serves a 4 or 6 fixed menus for meat eaters but has also one 6 menu all vegan. We had this last one of course and couldn’t be happier. The quality of the service, the food and the ambiance were excellent. Outdoor dining is possible: there are few tables outdoor in a quiet street. We ate outdoor. To be honest I would like to give 5 stars given the quality of the food. I do not understand why a fast food vegan place deserves 5 star (where to find a vegetable you need a microscope) and one that gives super healthy and almost all veggies dinner does not deserve it. One should think also at promoting healthy vegan food not just vegan food. We were happy that for once the vegan places were not limited to junk food.

Delicious and worth a visit - Edit
This place was great! We had a six course tasting menu. The server was so knowledgeable. They give you a story and history with each dish.
Read moreThe wine pairing had too much white, in my opinion, and nothing local.
My colleague had the traditional menu and was jealous of my vegan dishes!!

Delicious, with a story - Edit
This place is nicely located in one of the many cute streets in the center of Vilnius. The interior is classic and beautiful, and we were positively surprised by the waitress speaking Norwegian. She was also very kind and professional.
Read moreThe food was delicious. They make traditional dishes based on different centuries, and there is a story about Lithianian history or culture accompanying every dish. Unfortunately I don't remember all the dishes, but the first dish was sort of a pea pie/puree. The second was mushrooms with baked veggies. The third a pumpkin soup. Fourth baked fennel, rhubarb and different baked veggies. the fifth was a risotto. The sixth a sorbet on crumbs with some other elements. Incredible food, and especially the risotto was of absolute class. I highly recommend this place for any vegans who would like to do fine dining in Vilnius.
