Good vegan cafe - Edit
The brownie is really delicious! Although, I wasn’t aware the Buddha bowl came with certain herbs (such as coriander) which is annoying as I would have asked for it without. Other than that, nice restaurant.

Pros: All vegan , Pretty setting , Brownie
Cons: On the expensive side

Coriander is not a seasoning its a herb, which is why it would not have been stated on the menu.

delicious three-course dinner - Edit
We had a delicious three-course dinner at Erpingham House. As at Namaste Village, a service charge was built in to the bill, which we found curious.

Great evening meal - Edit
Nice surroundings , very Instagramable with floral displays around the building
Read moreThe food was presented well, and the portion size just right. My ‘fish ‘would have been better with shorter strands of banana blossom as was tricky to cut. However OH’s oyster mushroom with parsnip rösti was perfection.
Service was lovely & restaurant was good for a Saturday night out
Pros: Varied menu, Friendly service, Instagrammable building
Cons: Tables upstairs- not sure of assessibility

great savoury dishes - Edit
Loved the savoury dishes on offer here. They were full of flavour and texture.
Read moreThe desserts were not as good, particularly the panacotta which had both a strange texture and excessive bitterness.
Well priced for a decent vegan meal in a nice place with attentive staff.

Nice place to eat vegan food - Edit
Good variety of food and drink, all very tasty. The staff were friendly. We spotted a non vegan ingredient (Chambord) in one of the cocktails. We pointed this out at the time and later, in an email, and they have promised to to take it off the menu.

Beautiful food - Edit
My partner took me here for my 30th this year and my god is the food amazing. We had 6 of the small plates between us and every single one of them was brilliant. Taking a simple ingredient and really championing it with great flavours. For the quality of food you get I could not argue with the prices. The staff were brilliant too really friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic Place - Edit
We visited this week to celebrate a birthday and we’re treated to an amazing meal. The atmosphere is always lush here and staff very friendly. They even made the birthday girl’s dessert extra special with a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate. Always a great experience here- would highly recommend.

Great Food - Edit
Erpingham House is a lovely old building that has been decorated in a sympathetic style with quirky additions such as a light up tree in the middle of the room.
Read moreI had King Oyster Mushroom with Chunky Chips. The food tasted great but the portion was quite small, I was glad that I ordered the chips as a side. My wife had FSH and Smashed potatoes which she really enjoyed, but again the portion size was a little on the small side. For dessert I had Coffee Panna Cotta and my wife had Lemon and Poppy seed slice. Both of these were very nice, but again rather small.
Overall the quality of the food was excellent, even though the portions were on the small side for the price paid.
I will definitely go back to Erpingham House when I am back in Norwich, a thoroughly enjoyable meal and experience was had.

Lovely food - Edit
We came here for a light lunch, bought the Katsu king oyster mushroom, which had the seal of approval from a mushroom HATER. Also had bao buns and courgette fritters! Very lovely food, but very overpriced and minimal light options. Good atmosphere and well decorated.

I loved this restaurant so much that I went twice in a three day visit!

The chocolate cheesecake was superb, served with ice cream, blackberry purée and miso caramel.

Cute, friendly, delicious - Edit
My partner and I visited at the end of October for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. We had burgers, the 'celebration of apple,' and pumpkin pie (which I believe is not a usual menu item but was special for autumn/October/Halloween). Everything was fantastic, honestly.
Read moreAdditionally, the staff were extremely friendly and patient! We arrived about 45 minutes earlier than our booked time, because we were in town for just one day and it was too cold to keep walking around outside. We expected to be asked to wait, but they went ahead and set up the table for us, telling us that it just would be a while before we'd be able to order due to a nearly full house.
I have only two possible downsides. (1) if you don't like a 'meaty' veggie burger, the burgers may not be for you (I wouldn't order it again, though it was still good), (2) they would benefit from having a selection of mocktails! I believe they have low-alcohol beer but no totally alcohol-free cocktails (or other mock alcohols), which surprised us because it seemed like a place that would do them. There are plenty of nonalcoholic drink options, but having a mushroom tea or a milkshake is a different vibe from having a fruity martini! One of us cannot have alcohol, and we were celebrating, so it would have been nice to have a drink together.
Overall, I completely recommend it to any vegan, vegetarian, normative omnivore, etc - anyone looking for some good food in a good atmosphere.
Also, best pumpkin pie I have EVER had. And I'm American by birth - I've eaten a lot of pumpkin pie.
Pros: Excellent food, Good prices, Friendly staff
Cons: Lack of nonalcoholic 'alcohol' options

Tasteful Vegan Experience - Edit
i come to erpingham house on my birthday & as small treats, each time i leave feeling completely satisfied and looking forward to my next visit. my meat-eating family even love dining here as they say the creativity behind the flavours and dishes makes them excited to eat. they change their menu around to make sure you get a variety of the dishes they serve, no dish has yet to disappoint me. the staff are always so lovely, kind & accommodating; the set up of the place is gorgeous & the overall experience is brilliant.

Fancy meal out - Edit
Looked beautiful on the outside like we were going for a lovely fancy meal, inside it seemed a little bare and draughty but still pleasant.
Read moreFood looked absolutely beautiful, to be honest, 2 months on I can only remember what I had from the pictures, I think the menu has changed. It was all really tasty and I enjoyed every mouthful - a nice change from lots of vegan junk food options. Service was fine, wasn't cheap but felt worth it to have something a bit different.
Wouldn't go often for a full dinner due to price but would like to go again at some point.
Pros: Tastefully presented , Photogenic, Delicious
Cons: Bit draughty, Not cheap

Try FSH and chips - Edit
As you can see FSH was my favourite dish, it was absolutely delicious, crispy, yummy peas with mint and chilli, little crispy potatoes and wonderful tartar sauce I still dream about it. It's a bit on a small side so good to have a starter.
Read moreWe also loved potatoes, olives and kale from the nibbles section. Worth taking them as these are very good and good size for price.
Some other food was good but not as nice, eg tacos and bowl.
The waiteress was amazing, we were with two kids and she joked with them, was generally very helpful and got out of her way to make us happy. She saw my 4 years old wanting to try peas and suggested bringing her no chilli portion, which was not even on the menu.
Overall very nice experience.
Pros: Very friendly service, FSH and chips yum yum yum, All vegan, with good gf options
Cons: Some dishes not as nice as other

Delicious food - Edit
We went during the ‘eat out to help out’ time so fortunately didn’t pay full price but if I’m honest I would have been disappointed with the portions if I had paid full price. The portions sizes also didn’t seem equivalent to each other.
Read moreThe food tasted amazing and the mocktail I had was delicious.
The staff were great and really friendly.
I went with some non vegan friends who were also impressed with the taste... especially the bao buns.
The service was slow considering it wasn’t overly busy in the restaurant however this may be due to Covid precautions etc. so it wouldn’t put me off trying there again.
Pros: Varied options available to suit all tastes, Food was 5 stars!! , Staff were really friendly
Cons: On the expensive side for the portion sizes , Slower service than expected

Anniversary meal - Edit
Nice environment, good choice of food, could be considered to be a long wait between courses but it suited us on this occasion. One member of serving staff was warm and friendly the other not so. Food portions ok, we had jackfruit hoisin pancakes to start then the lamb and samphire, fsh n potatoes both lovely and tasty. Dessert of tiramisu disappointing bit dry.
