Ordered the Da Nang Gumbo: tofu was lovely but could have done with more sauce for the dish. Also had a slightly fishy taste which I found slightly off putting (maybe vegan fish sauce? not sure). Not sure if the dish was supposed to be cold but I was expecting it to be hot which i personally found less enjoyable for noodles. Make sure to specify no fish sauce if you’re like me and don’t enjoy the taste 😆

Very simple local restaurant run by a kind elderly couple. Vietnamese pho as well as many other local favorites, also a few Korean style dishes. The food was a little bland to my taste, nothing special. Their dining area is open air and can get very hot and load from passing traffic. It’s a good place to go if you’re in the area, I personally wouldn’t make a special trip.

Cheap but not great - Edit
I was in a bit of a rush and got a bánh mì here. It’s on a very noisy street and the sound of horns honking very nearby was pretty much constant while I was eating. The order also took a little while because they were very busy with Grab deliveries. The bánh mì bread was nice and crispy but the filling was very bland until I added lots of extra chilli sauce and soy sauce.

Vietnam has been at the top of my vegan food experiences, and this restaurant did not disappoint. Very friendly staff, delicious food, and all for a really good price. We also got free cold barley tea drinks with our meal, of which the total was only 125K VND.
