Good but ridiculously pricey

Loved the options! The presentation was great and the items were fresh. My only issue was the price - $19 for a strawberry shortcake cup (single portion)?! I realize it’s Disney but that seemed ridiculous-

Love to see

I was super happy that Disney springs included a fully vegan bakery and the treats were super yummy, definitely adding this to my list of places to go when I next visit Disney😄

Pros: Valentines themed options , Fully vegan and gluten free

Cons: Possibly a little too pricy, but hey that’s Disney

Disney Springs - Park passed not required

I visited Erin McKenna Bakery while at Disney Springs and was delighted to learn everything was vegan and gluten free. I got the chocolate and raspberry cookie, the pineapple upside-down cupcake, and the double brownie that is stuffed with creme. Just...tears...so good. The raspberry cookie is unreal. I'll be eating these dessert for at least a week.

Pros: Vegan options, Location NOT in Disney Parks, Staff was amazing

Cons: A little pricy - but WORTH it

Low quality sweets

I bought a cake from here. While the frosting of the cake was colorful, it was glossy, slick and slimy. The cake itself, while sweet, was very dry. The combination of dry cake and slimy frosting was not good. I would not order again, nor would I recommend.

Pros: Pretty presentation

Cons: Dry cake, Slimy frosting, Pretty doesn't equal tasty

Go!

So grateful to find this!!! They also ship! BOGO containers were cool—sampling of broken stuff from day before & topped with a donut! Also got the strawberry shortcut (yum!) & bagel (good but a bit crumbly because gluten free & they have vegan butter only, not cream cheese, but still good).

Pros: All vegan & delicious, Super friendly, Not overpriced

Cons: Inside Disney Springs

Love an all vegan bakery

As an Orlando local, this is a staple of Disney Springs for me. Tastes just like the NYC version, and they have a nice variety of options. Can’t miss!

Wow! Free of eggs, dairy, gluten, and soy! Delicious!

Updated 3/28/24: Still a fan. Delicious vegan, GF sugar cinnamon donut. Its moist and cakey and not overly sweet despite the sugar.

Old review from 2018: Vegan baking, difficult. Gluten free baking harder. Combine that plus soy free, exponentially harder. Trust me, I have concocted some inedible GF and vegan desserts 🤣

Been to the locations in Disney (pictures from Disney) and NYC. For what it is (or isn't made of) is delicious and never a disapointment!

Pros: Great for gluten, eggs, dairy, egg sensitivities, Delicious for GF

Cons: May not appeal to non-GF

So much choice! 🤩

I couldn't believe this whole bakery was vegan, I had to double check! I'm not used to having so much choice I took a while to decide.
I eventually went with the brownie bites and the lemon slice. What can I say? These cakes were perfection! The lemon slice is similar to a Madeira cake/pound cake, nice and dense without being dry at all. The brownie bites absolutely deliver too. I'll definitely be back to try the rest!

Highs and Lows

So I’m giving this place 5 stars because it’s an allergy friendly all vegan bakery with tons of options. That being said this place is not my favorite, not even for Disney Springs much less Orlando. It’ll be easier to list the pros and cons in detail:

Pros: Wide selection, reasonable wait times at all hours (relative to Disney Springs anyways), you can save a little money if you’re not picky with what you want and get the Kitchen Sink cups that are usually buy one get one free (that’s them trying to get rid of older and overstocked goods btw), during certain hours cover bands perform nearby so it’s nice to grab a snack and sit on the stands munching and listening to music

Cons: I’ve noticed some people complain that the food is stale. After multiple visits and trying various items I’ve concluded that rather than being stale most of the items are just incredibly dry and crumbly. This is a gluten free bakery after all. If you want to avoid texture issues get something moist (like pineapple upside down cake) or something that comes with a ton of frosting to balance it out. Also, unless you get the kitchen sink cups or a bagel, expect to pay absurd amounts for your snacks. DO NOT GET DRINKS HERE, THEY WILL BE BASIC AND YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF! If you don’t want a very specific desert there are actually better desert options within walking distance at Disney Springs. Don’t feel obligated to eat here unless you have allergy issues!

(Feel free to follow me on Happy Cow if you’re curious about my personal favorites! ✨)

Pros: Wide Selection, Very Allergy Friendly, Kitchen Sink Cups are somewhat affordable

Cons: SO EXPENSIVE, Lots of dry crumbly options, Better vegan desserts in Disney Springs

A Vegan, Allergy Friendly Staple

We love this bakery! As a vegan and food allergy household, we love the peace of mind that this bakery brings. It is so delicious! We even purchased my daughter’s birthday cake from here. It was pricey, of course, but the peace of mind alone is worth it. Our tastebuds are always satisfied. The staff has always been so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Wonderful to have an all-vegan bakery at Disney World!

Five stars because it's just incredible to have an all vegan bakery with such a huge selection at the Disney World resort!! I tried a lot of different treats from there, some of which I loved and would get again, and some of which I would probably skip next time. All of the items are pretty pricey but some in particular are quite expensive, like the cupcakes. (Of course, it's pretty typical of everything in the Disney resorts to be priced very high!) It's also worth noting that the treats are beautiful!

I really appreciate that this place makes vegan, gluten-free baked goods available at Disney Springs, for those who are gluten-free (I'm not gluten-intolerant so it's not a factor for me personally). For any non-vegans who are not gluten-free and are new-ish to vegan options, I like to point out when I talk about gluten-free + vegan establishments that I would try not to make assumptions about vegan food based on vegan food that's also gluten-free. I find that vegan desserts very often taste just like their non-vegan counterparts, but many (certainly not all) gluten-free versions of traditionally gluten-heavy desserts (vegan or not) taste noticeably different.

Pros: All vegan, Wide variety

Cons: Expensive

Some of the best gluten free desserts I’ve ever had

I’m not gluten-free, and mostly avoid eating gluten-free food. I went to this bakery because it is vegan, and I was honestly a little disappointed when I noticed it was gluten-free as well (and entirely allergen-free). However, I could hardly notice there was no gluten, and I might not have even guessed they were had I not known. Everything I tried was delicious!

Overpriced and mediocre

I was so excited for this bakery and it had so many positive reviews but honestly we were unimpressed. We got the brownies ($12 for one 3x4 inch size) and a Whoopie Pie ($11). The pie tasted stale and the brownie was just ok. The baked goods are not fresh and on top of that the two employees in the shop were kind of rude. If you have a gluten intolerance, I understand but if you are just vegan/dairy free I would skip this place.

An absolute must visit

Been here several times, not once disappointed. The choice and quality is amazing, it’s expensive but in my opinion it’s definitely worth it. My personal favourite of the cookie bars, I had a Cookie Monster themed cookie bar which was incredible.

Exceptional Gluten Free/Vegan Baked Goods

I'm not a huge fan of gluten-free desserts. They're often too dry and crumbly for my moist-loving tastebuds, but Erin Mckenna's rises above to create an overabundance of remarkable vegan sweet treats, though it comes at a price.

The interior bubbles with a pink interior decorated with cutesy nick-nacks. The visibility of the baking racks and machinery lends some authenticity to the bake shop. The balance between the two creates a warm, inviting feeling.

The amount of options concussed me. I felt dumb trying to decide between the pineapple upside-down cake, the cookie sandwiches, the thicc or thin mint sandwich, the sun butter brookie bar, mounds, etc. A choice needed to be made because the desserts aren't exactly affordable. I chose the pineapple upside-down cake and the Mounds bar. The Mounds bar, a gooey coconut heart half-covered in chocolate, vaults over the original. The pineapple upside-down cake, a gluten-free flour cake covered by a pineapple ring drenched in a sweet glaze, succeeds. The glaze combats the slight dryness of the flour, and the pineapple on top elevates the taste of the entire dessert. If you need guidance when choosing between the many options, these are great options.

If you're gluten-free, vegan, or a dessert person, Erin Mckenna's offers great options for anybody's taste.

Pros: Quality, Options, Location

Cons: Expensive

All vegan treats

It’s so good to have a totally vegan place. It’s gluten free too so that’s good for allergies. The pineapple upside down cake is amazing. It is expensive but you pay for higher quality ingredients.
Also the portion sizes are huge- the pineapple cake could easily serve 4, the cookie sandwich cookies are massive so you’d share that too.

Pros: Range of options, It’s all vegan, Delicious pineapple cake

Cons: Prices are on the board not by the items, Expensive
