Wonderful Meal - Edit
Vegan and vegetarian options are clearly labeled. Many options to choose from which was appreciated. Service was lovely and everyone enjoyed their meal. We would recommend this location if you’re looking for Italian food in York.

Just ok - Edit
It was my fault for not asking, but the veganized versions of the dishes I got just meant that they came without cheese and ultimately were rather underwhelming. I had asked about the pizza, and the waitress said they did have vegan cheese for that, so I guess I assumed they would have a cheese substitute for the other menu items. I got the caprese salad, which ended up just being a small bowl of rocket with a tiny drizzle of pesto. It felt unfair to pay the same amount for a dish that was missing the main (and most expensive) ingredient. I ended up getting pasta, which was only ok, and again, no cheese. I appreciate that they have the option to veganize dishes, and clear labeling for the dishes that can have gluten free and vegan options, but I think my expectations were too high and I left disappointed.

Ok pizza - Edit
Arrived in York by train just after lunch time. L’uva was conveniently located en route. Ordered a vegan pizza. Good thing is, it was on the table fast. The crust was perfect, but the middle of the pizza was soggy. Also the taste was a bit bland.

Lots of options - Edit
The vegan options are very well labelled on the menu (look for VGO for "Vegan Option Available", or V* for "Vegetarian").

Great service and bangin food - Edit
We were made to feel immediately welcome on arrival, we were served by the owner and let him know we were vegan and my partner coeliac. We felt confident when ordering that we'd have no issues, and we didn't. The food was fresh, delicious and both Ve and GF. We will definitely be in again next time we're in York.
