Very good vegan food - Edit

Worth finding. Friendly and helpful staff. All the food we had was good. Delicious desserts as well. After ordering we had to wait a while for the food, but it was worth the wait.

Pros: All vegan, Good choice of dishes, Helpful staff

Cons: Noisy club nearby

One of the best casual vegan joints in the world - Edit

I chase vegan food around the world and EmmaPea is a superstar in a city filled with amazing vegan food. The food is so good I dreamt about it afterward. This was the only restaurant I visited twice during my most recent 2-week stay. Planning another trip to Berlin just to eat here again!

Pros: Amazing food, Amazing prices, ALL VEGAN

Hip and Tasty - Edit

Had the burger and the risotto. Both delicious, even more so the risotto.
The place is off the Main Street in a courtyard with several trendy bars around.

You have no idea! - Edit

The cheesus quesadilla was creamy and delicious and a perfect cruelty free replica of a non vegan cheese quesadilla. The beast burger was excellent even though black bean burgers are not my favorite. Their chocolate peanut butter cookies were also delicious if you like peanut butter cookies.

However, the best part of this establishment was the staff (which is saying a lot given their breathtakingly delicious menu items). They were closing up just as we were coming in and accomofated us as well as they could with good humor. Even the other patrons were extremely friendly and offered up half of their table.

The ambiance was grungy and retro with a backdrop of live music and an alternative crowd. Perfect for young people and those looking for a friendly and refreshing change of scenery.

Pros: Location, Comfort food, Shared spaces

Cons: Not enough seating, Cigarette smoke from the other room

One of the best vegan burgers un town - Edit

Although the place is a little hard to find, it is definitely worth it. I had a burger with sweet potatoes and it was yummy. The place was really cozy and nice.
Plus it is not expensive, a burger is around 9€.
I wouldn't think it twice, if I were in Berlin, I'd come here.

Amazing hidden gem! - Edit

Took me a little while to find this place but so glad I did!
I got the Thai Pea Burger with tandoori wedges (see photos) and it was all just so unbelievably delicious!
The staff were super kind, the food was amazing, and the restaurant itself was so nice, relaxing and friendly 😀
Would definitely visit again next time I'm in Berlin!
Also be sure to grab a peanut cookie on your way out, you won't regret it (unless you're allergic to nuts, then you probably will...) 🍪

Pros: Amazing food, Friendly staff

Cons: Literally nothing

The best burger in Berlin. - Edit

Absolutely wonderful, juicy bean burger, followed by the ultimate crunchy sweet potato fries. The unique mayo sauces are really something. Yum! Great staff!

Great food and very friendly people. I would recommend it to anyone. Only downside is that it is a little hard to find....well it was for us!! Second attempt....using phone map ....worked!! I am so glad we went there. Certainly the best food we had in Berlin.

Pros: Great food., Great service.

Cons: Address is not obvious unless you know the area!

AMAZING FOOD AMAZING SERVICE - Edit

The area that this is located is extremely edgy and cool. So it would be great to visit even if not eating just to sense the atmosphere. I couldn't decided what to eat so I choose the Thai Burger AND a quasadilla. Greedy right. But fortunately for me they added a takeaway box. A local customer also bought me a quiche! It all tasted amazing. The sweet potato fries expecially stood out. The staff were all super lovely and talkative as well. Will definitely be going back.

Loved this little place - Edit

It's a little hard to find. It's not on a main street. You have to go down some stairs into a pedestrian ally. You'll see a lot of street art.

The food is wonderful as well as the atmosphere.

Truly excellent place - Edit

We had the Thai Pea Burger and it was simply one of the best burgers I ever had! Affordable, too, and large enough to fill you up. The place itself is also very cosy.

Excellent - Edit

Great burgers, fries and atmosphere. The restaurant has mostly outdoor seating on their balcony and semi-open back area. The place has weird tables, couches and graffiti all over. All their food is vegan and I had a "beast burger" with fries and an espresso for 12 euro.

The restaurant itself is located near the Urban Spree gallery. The surrounding area is very beautiful, full of urban decay, graffiti and weird bars, restaurants, galleries and clubs.

You have to be careful depending on the time of day when walking around this area. Later at night as the club scene gets going, the drug dealers come out in droves and aggressively try to push their product on anyone who happens to pass them.

Pros: Great food, Cheap, Great atmosphere

Cons: Sketchy area later at night

Junk food heaven - Edit

We visited here on our last night in Berlin and loved its location with loads of expressive graffiti and cool surrounding bars. Inside the interior was cool including a miniature elephant spinning around a discotheque ball and this is great place to hang out for some food and drinks. We decided to order the nachos to share as a starter, the Thai burger with sweet potato fries and peanut dip and the beet burger with dips and tandoori wedges. The corn nachos were freshly made and delicious, although personally I would have liked a little bit more heat. Nevertheless a great starter to begin with. The Thai burger and beet burger were very tasty too with fresh ingredient and a great accompaniment of dips especially the peanut dip. If junk food is your vice than this is the place is for you.

Pros: Tasty food, Friendly staff, Interior and vibe

NIce vegan food at RAW yard - Edit

EmmaPea is within the RAW yard - a former rail yard that hosts lots of cafes, bars, music venues, a skatepark, gyms, climbing wall centre, yoga and pilates, and loads of graffiti - so it's worth a visit! Not far to walk from Veganz and/or the East Side Gallery.
It's a friendly, funky cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu included a couple of homemade burgers, a curry and a salad as well as sides, cake, lots of drinks.
We tried their Beet burger with tandoori wedges, and the tofu salad. The burger was really tasty, sweet beetroot flavours mixed with herbs and lentils, and the wedges came with a couple of tasty dips.
The big bowl of salad had a wonderful zesty lime and coconut dressing. Lots of baby leaves, chick peas, broccoli, and delicious marinated tofu chunks. Really fresh and refreshing to eat.

Pros: All vegan, Fresh, homemade foods, Funky

Smoky atmosphere at late night - Edit

We came here to have a drink at late night. The place is crowded and very popular but we finally found seats outside. The atmosphere inside was really smoky. Even to get an order, that was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we have not tried the vegan food but I guess it would be great to come back earlier for a quick bite. The location is interesting and alternate.

Pros: 100% vegan, open late, alternate

Cons: crowded

We visited in August as part of a week-long stay in Berlin. We absolutely loved the location of Emma Pea, surrounded by amazing creativity, artwork, bars and nightclubs. From the outside the area looks almost derelict but venture off the main road and you're rewarded with a super-cool place to spend the night.

I ordered the vegan burrito and it was lovely, as were the chips. There's a bar right next door playing decent house/techno, but of course, it's Berlin, right?!

Although we always try and at least attempt to speak the native language whenever we travel, all of the staff spoke perfect English.

Pros: Cool location, English-speaking staff, Chilled out atmosphere

Cons: Location may not be for everyone

update: great food - Edit

Update: I've now been a few times and really like this place. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced (daily changing menu plus a few things like nachos and fries that are served every day). They are now completely vegan. Their lentil and coconut soup is amazing (it has vanilla in it, what a good idea!!!), their sweet potato fries are awesome, and the hot drinks are very reasonably priced (they also serve alcohol).

It was warm inside with a real fire, the staff are very nice and multi-lingual, and the cakes are really good - especially the plum brownie. Highly recommended. Only complaint is that hey never serve the Cambodian Fish Amok when I visit and I've wanted to try it for over a year!

Pros: food, staff, price

Cons: opens late (5pm on weekdays)

Burrito brilliance - Edit

I've been here several times for their Mexican themed menu and have never been disappointed. Very filling, so value for money is there. I have had one of their special curries before, which was equally delicious.

Pros: Fast, Relatively healthy junk food fulfillment, Value for money

Cons: Stark atmosphere, Unnecessary soya mince in the chilli (personal)
