Was a great place for my vegan husband and I to meet family who arn't, but will eat vegetarian. Basically everything on the menu is ordered either vegan or vegetarian which was easy. I got the vegan waffles which were amazing, my husband got the vegan tacos which unfortuantly he makes nicer at home, but the vegetarian options went down well with our other companions, these included a mushroom pie and 'schnitty' burger.

Great place, the food is tasty, fair prices and big serves. The staff are friendly and it has an old world vibe. Everything on the menu can be veganised. Recommended 😀

This restaurant introduced me to the wonderful world of vegan cheese sandwiches. They had quite the selection of dishes and I would like to go back for lunch. I would highly recommend the cheese toasted sandwich. The waffles were ok, but the sandwich was the winner!

Good food, good options, good value. Friendly staff and good service. Good covid safety, table distancing, table cleaning between customers etc. Currently open until 2-3pm (unsure if later on Saturday) due to reduced business. Takeaway available if they are full.

Stumbled across this place actually on a stroll to somewhere else and decided to go here instead. Cute little dinner style with AMAZING fish and chips! We also had cauliflower wings and the nachos and it was all so good and big servings!

Embassy Vegetarian Cafe is a lovely friendly spot in Katoomba, they have amazing vegan options, and the food is comforting, and delicious. We had the waffles, bean burrito and the beyond burger. The food really hit the spot and we all enjoyed our meals immensely.

We had Indonesian rice and vegetables. Then smoothie and my non vegan family had scrambled eggs and vegetarian pie. I also ate a lemon cheesecake after 5 years! Everything was delicious ( eggs review by family) everything is also pocket friendly.

Visited for lunch in family trip to Blue Mountains. Had the lunch wrap, the burrito, and the Shepard’s pie. I liked the wrap the best. The burrito came with rice on the side, but I think it should have it inside. Because if this m, the burrito itself was too soft.

The coffee was great. The food was average. It was decent enough to finish our plates, but it wasn’t anything we feel like returning to. We ordered nachos, which wasn’t that bad for Aussie nachos; roast beet and pumpkin salad, which tasted fine, but was fairly plain; and the waffles with berries and ice cream, which tasted good flavor, but were on the chewy side. But, the coffee tasted great.

Everything on the menu can be Vegan and our Saturday lunchtime favourite is the soup. This soup is always hearty and full of flavour, garnished with Vegan appropriate toppings and served with your selection of toast and Vegan butter you just leave the shop feeling warm in the belly and full...
Coffee and Tea's are amazing and "special" variations in this area are accommodated by the friendly and helpful staff.
We always leave happy and full and the amazingly reasonable pricing is an absolute bonus in the mix..... Couldn't rate this rare gem of a great value and flavour full Cafe any hire if I tried!!!!

Read moreSo there's toast, eggs, and variations of traditional western breakfasts, including the big breakfast with avo, beans, tomato, toast. I think the most unusual item is the waffles.
Lunch did look a bit more interesting.
I did enjoy my big breakfast, and it was a big serve that I couldn't finish. Prices are really good, you could spend as little as $5 and get a basic toast.
Coffee was nothing special, service likewise.

Very nice and cosy vegetarian cafe. They can make almost all dishes vegan. I visited it several times, delicious soy cappuccino and hibiscus Kombucha. To eat I recommend the vegan big breakfast, vegan waffles, vegan porridge, vegan burger and vegan Sheppard's pie. They also have some delicious sweets like vegan Snickers bar and vegan lemon cheesecake. Service is always good and staff very friendly.

Vegetarian Gem at the top of Katoomba - Edit
Had lunch here today for the first time. It certainly won't be the last. Service is excellent and the food even better. We had the Indonesian curry (mild, medium or hot) and the black bean burger (vegetarian or vegan). The curry was very tasty, served with rice and a salad. The burger was smoky and delicious, also served with additional salad. The two came to an extremely reasonable $22.

I haven’t had waffles in years because I haven’t been able to find vegan ones, but was so stoked to find these.
Staff were so sweet, food was fast, main meals were between $12 - $14, and good priced beverages!
If you’re able to, please visit! (And order the waffles 😻)
