Not for vegans - Edit
I used to eat at Elmo's all the time when I was vegetarian. Unfortunately they have almost nothing for vegans. Even their soy sausage is not vegan. If your vegetarian make sure to get there early for breakfast as they get very busy. It's a low-key, diner, family atmosphere.

Cons: Not vegan friendly, Lots of children

great veg friendly brunch - Edit
This breakfast hotspot just outside of Duke campus has vegetarian options all over the menu. The soy sausage is a homemade specialty. Wonderful service on a crowded Sunday too. Get there early!
