Best vegan fish & chips! - Edit
I ordered the fish and chips with curry sauce, the fish was absolutely beautiful, fantastic texture and flavour, the chips were delicious too. I would highly recommend this place and I'm looking forward to returning to try their other vegan items as they have vegan bratwurst sausages, hot dogs, chicken schnitzel and range of vegan pies. The person who served us was so kind, friendly & welcoming.

Fish & Chips - Edit
Ordered the vegan fish and chips here. It’s really nice to have a fish alternative on the menu, rather than a pie or sausage replacement. The value for money is really really good. And good chips too!
Read moreThink I’d need to try a few more options to give it a higher rating, as I usually go elsewhere and it’s a favourite, but looking at the menu and the other reviews it looks great and I’ll definitely be back again!
Pros: Great value for money

Great find - Edit
The fish and chips here are delicious. I wouldn't recommend the hot dog and chips - it came in a bread roll instead of hot dog roll and the taste wasn't amazing. Definitely get the vegan fish and chips

Really tasty! - Edit
Completely separate fryers and prep area, vegan menu and a really nice owner who wants to offer good vegan choices. Big portions and very tasty 'fish' and chips. If you're in a hurry, ring in advance to make sure the vegan fryers are on.

Great find - Edit
This is a nice local fish and chip shop, with a good set of vegan options on the menu, the owner clearly cares about providing for all customers, and has a top hygiene rating as well. I tried the vegan fish & chips, and the fish was nicely flavoured and with a good texture, and the chips were proper chip shop chips, perfectly cooked, and served with choices of traditional sauces or vinegar. I tried the mushy peas and curry sauce and I enjoyed them both. There is a small table inside, but mostly for waiting (like most chip shops) so it's really for takeaway, but definitely a good option if you're in the local area.
Read moreShort of going fully vegan, for the future they could remove the hotdog from the menu maybe (it was a bit firm), and look to have the vegan fish in the same (more traditional) batter as the non vegan options. Cardboard packaging would be nice as well to try reduce plastic usage.

New vegan spot! - Edit
Hungry Henry's has just been taken over by new owners in the last 2 weeks. The guy was very friendly and told me he's bringing more vegan options in soon. They still do fish and beef dripping but all vegan food is cooked separately. I had a vegan schitzel butty and chips. Great chips, the schnitzel was Ok, probably about the same as a meat one i.e not much to it!
